[Statistics] Alliances Regions Swing Week 07

Day 1,554, 12:19 Published in Portugal Portugal by jotapelx

Hello,

After my first article in this series, there was a small debate concerning how to measure the success of a war and the corresponding defeat.

The problem for me was to retrieve the Original Regions, and after digging in the wiki.erepublik.com, which is quite confusing sometimes, I've managed to retrieve all 556 regions.

The mapping of countries with each alliance for this week is detailed in the previous article of this series http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/ranking-and-statistics-for-week-07-2012--1971183/1/20

The data of these statistics is from day 1552 - 12:00

The next ranking considers all the original Regions and compares with the current number of regions of each country. In the bottom are the wiped countries, independent of the negative value, if they are wiped they are in a worst state then someone with at least one region.

Based on the data above, we can extrapolate the swing of regions from the original to the current number of regions by each alliance.

The number of wiped countries per alliance is a good indicator regarding the course of the war. Although this is an interesting indicator, because if in one hand a country wiped, means a loss no matter how you put it. In the case of a PTO, if the country is not wiped during the congress elections, it might represent a bigger loss because a congress with PTO parties can give citizenship to more fellow PTOers, reducing the margin to remove the PTO. So have this in mind when reading this numbers.
