[SFPress]Interview with Artela

Day 2,657, 13:42 Published in USA USA by MaryamQ

Hello, comrades! We here at SFPress are proud to begin a series of articles profiling our remarkable party members. SFP is a place where any member at any level of play has a voice, and we want you to get to know some of those who have chosen to make it their home. Come on by, pull up a chair, and join the conversation!

First up in this series is one of our newer members, but the most experienced of us: Artela.

Artela, you are one of the most recognizable players in the game. You seem to have been everywhere and done everything. Tell us something about yourself that you think our readers should know and probably don’t.

Oooo, start with the easy one why don’t you 😛
Of course a lot of the most interesting stuff is going to be things I won’t share openly until the day I eDie, but in my very first days as a noob I joined a political party that turned out to be run by someone who was more or less the eUK version of Ajay. Once me and a sizeable number of the rest of the party worked this out we held a coup to free the party and made it into something better… that was my start into “big politics”.

What do you consider your greatest achievement in eRep so far? And what is your biggest regret?

Biggest achievement still feels like the first time I was POTUS, but I guess even bigger than that was arranging the peace under Josh Frost’s Presidency with Poland et al and getting our country back from having been wiped as a result of those negotiations. My biggest recent regret is having tried moving to the Feds after having been asked to go there for a couple of years, and then finding it an extremely poor fit - I should have just gone straight to SFP

What haven’t you done yet that you would still like to do?

There really isn’t much I haven’t done. I have every type of medal, have worked in governments in more than one eCountry, been CP of two countries, been SC and SG of an alliance. All that is left is to get up the military ranks even further I think 🙂

Who do you consider your biggest influences in the game?

For that I’d have to credit Iain Keers and jamesw back in my early days when back in eUK. Both had a major input into how I play this game.

You could probably belong to any party and MU you want to at this point in the game. What brings you to SFP and Bear Cavalry?

It is a bit of an open secret that circumstances have driven me to SFP and Bear Cavalry, but everything happens for a reason, and now that I am there I am happier in this game than I have been for quite a long time. SFP already feels like “family” and “home”, and I do not regret having found my way into this new home for a second.

If you could give a rising young player any advice, what would it be?

Play this game for the fun of playing the game. Join in with the metagame, but don’t let yourself get fooled by people just because they’re in the biggest parties or MUs. Judge things for yourself, don’t just accept everything you are told, and biggest is not always best. Quality and Camaraderie matter far far more.

One last question, suggested by SFP's own Writers' Guil😛

What are your political ambitions going forward?

I have no intentions of running for President in the foreseeable future. I will be working with my Comrades in the party to make the party the success we all know it can be.

Thank you, Artela, for responding to these these questions!
