[PM] My Departure.

Day 1,475, 10:57 Published in Australia Netherlands by lancer450

My final look at my office, before I take my leave...

G’day eAustralia,

This will be my final report as Prime Minister. I can’t say it has been all fun and games, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. So let’s get started.

My term began with youthful optimism and the hope for a great term, however, that was hastily crushed by the invasion of our country. My cabinet and I decided to pursue the path of diplomacy and negotiation. That was short-lived. eIndonesia offered us a deal that we unanimously rejected. It would have left us with three regions. None of which were connected or in reality worthy to us.

On top of the invasion by eIndonesia, eNew Zealand also had a piece of us. With the help of my MoD at the time, Callumh123, and the CP of eNew Zealand, Helen Moon, we were able to close the “training war” started by the prior Kiwi administration and end the NE. This permitted us to focus entirely on eIndonesia.

Our next move was to plainly be a nuisance. Because eIndo held steadfast to their previously mentioned offer, we had no other choice than to be like a rock in their shoe. We decided to drain damage from them through constant RW’s and fighting. However, as the Senate elections drew near, we began to become worried that we may not have a Senate this month. We called on our allies and the alliance of EDEN. And, to be frank, it was useless. We received absolutely no aid and our pleas were ignored. Perhaps it was not a malicious decision on their part, but one of self-preservation. Either way, help did not come.

Next, we made the decision to return to the table with eIndonesia. We were close to making a deal, one of much more value to us, when eChina made the surprising decision to NE eIndonesia. Talks subsequently subsided whilst eChina attacked. During the attack, we were able to regain the region of New South Wales. It was a magnificent battle!

Shortly thereafter, I received info that eNZ was planning to NE us. This came as a complete shock to me, because I believed to have a deal in which we would wait for a friendly training war until we had many more regions than the one we had won by the skin of our teeth. In the end, I made the decision to NE eNZ first and carry on with the training war, because it would have meant that we could actually have a Senate.

As many of you know, this, sadly, is not how it turned out. eIndonesia was upset and did not care if there was a TW between us and eNZ. They declared us as a NE and after our very brief TW with eNew Zealand, they wiped us again. Without the help of our allies, we were no match for a country with nearly 8x the population of our country.

After the Senate elections, which we did not have, we tried to return to the table and begin talking to the CP and MoFA of eIndonesia once more. We wished to take the deal we nearly made a couple weeks before. The deal comprised of us regaining control of Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia, and Tasmania. After a strenuous week of negotiations, we were able to reach a new deal: eAustralia would take NSW, Tasmania, QLD, NT, and Victoria as long as we did not support RW’s against eIndonesia in WA and SA or fight in direct battles with them. The deal has been successful thus far and our citizens are able to reap the benefits from region bonuses once more.

Whilst my cabinet and I were dealing with the said negotiations, we also decided to deal with our issues with EDEN. My cabinet did not have access to the necessary EDEN IRC rooms until 2 weeks after my election. I was also not permitted into the EDEN Summit room until I complained enough. By the time I got in, there was only about 30 minutes left. The way my government was treated and past governments were treated was horrendous. However, when EDEN did finally come around, they fought in the wrong battle at the wrong time. It was a mess. The only time we were even recognised and put on the priority list ended up not being helpful to us. We reached a decision to hold a poll on the forums, in the public gallery, asking our citizenry the question: “Should we leave EDEN?” An astounding 81% voted in favour of our departure from the EDEN alliance. In the end, eAustralia left and we will save 10k each month by leaving an alliance that really did not serve our interests. We will maintain MPP’s with the current list we have now, but will not be tied down to those primarily from EDEN.

eAustralia is at a crossroads. We will either rise up to the challenges that have been laid before us or we will fail trying to. These next few months will determine that outcome. Whatever the consequences, I will hold my time as Prime Minister of this amazing country close to my heart.

In short:
-We have been wiped twice.
-Trained with eNew Zealand once.
-I survived two impeachment attempts.
-Attacked LSI
-Was offered the sh*t deal of Tasmania and Western Australia alone; I demanded more.
-Had civil and serious negotiations with eIndonesia.
-Pursued stronger relations with our allies.
-Attempted to strengthen the CSC alliance.
-Was forced to cut our MPP list from 21 to 12 due to financial necessity.
-Dared to alter the political landscape of eAustralia and bring some “noobs” into government.
-Fought with EDEN; was ignored.
-Left EDEN alliance to become neutral and for the betterment of eAustralia.
-Made a deal with eIndonesia, subsequently regaining 5 regions: NSW, NT, QLD, Vic, and Tas
-And, most importantly, had an incredible time.

There were some successes during my term and some failures. All I can say is that I tried my best to serve eAustralia to the best of my abilities and I only hope for the best for our country as I leave this office. I attribute all of my successes to my outstanding cabinet and all of our failures and mistakes solely to me.

Thank you for the opportunity eAustralia. It has been interesting to say the least.

Hail eAustralia!
