***MOD Article*** Day 1823 So what happens now?
Irish Department of Defence
OK - looking nice and official like.
The training war with Canada is over. Furthermore, the rump of discontents in Canada have either been sidelined or left. The days of 'sexy war' are over, in fact, they never happened. With Canada rejecting moving to a CoT alliance, they are now firmly back in the camp of EDEN, if without the MPP's to match.
Canada can now be considered one of our best friends, solid, reliable and trustworthy. I sincerely hope we can build on this relationship and start taking part in joint operations at some stage in the future.
Our other immediate neighbour eUK has been having a referendum on whether a proposed region swap would be offer to the Dáil. As my learned friends in the MoFA have informed you, this referendum has resulted in an overwhelming rejection here
Our MoFA consider the rejections as being sad. As the MoD I have to say I am really happy to see it defeated. There's no denying the benefits that the regions swap provided us with, an extra resource and also the option of a just war from our new base in Scotland.
However, thanks to our two thefts this means the extra resource is nice, but we have no means to wage a war on anything at the moment. So when we take into account the difficulty in arranging the regions swap to begin with (a major pain in the arse), we also have the continuing friction between the various unhappy nationalistic parties on both sides and their tedious resistance wars that drained us to death.
Which brings us to a problem. That problem is one of boredom. For yet another month we now have no direct war to entertain the troops. All we have are MPP's to support, and even that is erratic. Therein lies the problem. EDEN has been stuck with the same Groundhog Day in Western Europe over the last few months with each and every EDEN country being beaten to a pulp by the pink power that is Poland.
However, as the new EDEN leader has said, an alliance works both ways. Recently, we put in a stellar performance in supporting The Netherlands in their plucky but doomed fight against Poland. We are capable of doing more of the same.
So for the remainder of my term, rather than sitting on my arse and giving you all CotD and DO's. I'm going to do my level best in trying to get all the MU's to start cooperating with each other.
As the IA are the only official army, and the only one that can receive supplies from the MoF, with the exception of Boot Camp, therefore the logical situation is that as many as possible citizen migrate to the IA where we can best coordinate military strikes for EDEN.
Please consider this.
Lastly, in relation to WHS' initiative in looking at alternatives to the EDEN alliance, I will be actively looking at the options available to us, so the citizens can make an informed choice.

From the lack of comments i think its clear about what people think of leaving their MU for the IA, one issue would be the fact that everyday you see someone in the IA shouting that they have nothing to fight with. Its meant to be supplying from what people make like all communes do so if they see members saying they have no supplies they are hardly gonna want to move.
Leaving the usual baggage aside.....
The article is not designed to start the process, it's just to inform people that the process has begun.
It's not really the communes that are the issue, it's the free supplies. Heretofore if people followed the CotD they just turned up on the supplies channel and off they went. That was then. After the robberies we can't afford to do that. However, things will improve after Yddub's money gets transferred.
This will allow for supply for coordinated strikes, but only if people are in the IA. The IA being the national army, following the instructions of the government, will be the only ones to benefit from this. All the other MU's can continue as before, but they can't expect to be able to coordinate amongst themselves.
This was apparent in the Netherlands campaign
@Marcus
I left my former MU to rejoin the IA a short while back. I work in a commune and weapons are supplied without fail. The issue may be that some soldiers forget to fill out the supply form but thats easily rectified by the courteous supply officers of the IA. Being the largest MU means occasionally human fallibility rears its head. No doubt even an MU of 2 can have such issues. A single coordinated army helps ensure or foreign affairs diplomacy and alliance military strategy are aligned.
I instructed ICA members who do not wish to stay in the ICA on the social basis alone to leave and join the Irish Army..
We made the first step. I don't see you or anyone else stepping forward yet the ICA are supposedly the root of all problems. Typical.

What Sean sad, without being an IA member.
Yes OJ, and you deserve credit for that. As for myself, as indicated I will be working with the other MU's in an attempt to get them to join IA. We'll see how we get along and of term.
People complain in the IA all the time for no reason, it's pathetic. You don't need 9 Q7 weps a day. You do your daily 25 kills and that takes 2.5 Q7 weps, rest is yours. If people can't stash some away or buy more if needed, that's their problem.
Death Awaits, I need 3-4 ff to kill one enemy (if he has full health). so I use almost all weps I get.
in your div u need less ffs. but as you grow u'll see u need more.
A ration of 7 Q7 weapons a day more than covers your DO and the benefits that gives. In addition, next month we intend to be in a position to start fight nights for CotD's with free weapons to all IA personnel that contribute.
"so I use almost all weps I get."
You don't use all of them though. So there shouldn't be an issue of you needing more then.
I'm not saying I need more : P
that's enough to fight according to the order.
If I want more I can find some supply.
I just explain that we use more than 2.5
