The Irish Social Front wants members of the Irish community to learn about their fellow citizens.

Interview.

Today The Irish Social Front interviewed the Irish economic genious Bhane. We hope you enjoy the interview and learn something new!

[Q1]As a player who is known as an economic authority, what are your views on supporting local business vs. embracing the international market?
[A1] Because of the added benefits of supporting local businesses, I hope we can have as much local business as possible in our markets. Right now I am only importing US and Canadian goods because I saw some other importers price gouging our easily exploited small market. I had to do something to keep prices reasonable for our citizens. I recommend that people support local manufacturers like IRAIreland, before they buy from me. By supporting the local producers, you support their IEP wages, and help fuel the eIrish economy even more. I hope that some more entrepreneurs can upgrade to Q5 tank manufacturing in eIrish businesses. I look forward to the day I can remove my goods from the market, and not see prices soar back to 50+ for a tank.

[Q2]There's been some talk about the decline of the relevance of politics in the new changes to the game. Do you see this as a reality, and what are your views on eIreland's political structure?
[A2]There has definitely been a decline of centralized power, because of changes in game mechanics. The MU system has basically ended any need of a state-run military. The new RW system has removed the need for the state to organize the funds for resistance wars. The IA became a MU independent of the state, before the MU game mechanic was even introduced. There has been a decline in the relevance of the political module, but eIreland has had a population that organizes itself with little need of government intervention. Eire is actually ahead of the curve here, and has adapted to the weakened central government better than almost every other nation. I think our national socio-political structure is excellent for success in the current eRep game environment. The people are what make our nation strong. Our friends and allies are what make our nation strong. Our nation's presence in eRep is defined by the strength of our community, not by any singular leader.

[Q3]You recently acquired the Bremen Clubhouses Military Unit the would be "Black and Tans". Can you fill us in on what's happened to the unit since and any developments related to it?
[A3] I re-branded the MU as "Rollta Bais" (or "Rolling Death"). I have no plans to mobilize the MU as a structured military organization. We have plenty of active MUs that do an excellent job. I completely trust IA/Libertad/Labour/etc... to organize the military efforts of our nation in the best interest of eIreland. I am basically keeping the MU as a personal trophy of my coup against the old PTO movement. I have decided to keep the inactives ex-PTOrs as POWs.

[Q4]After finishing second in this last months CP elections, do you have any plans to run for the position again in the near future?
[A4] I have accepted my party's nomination again. I am honoured to make myself available as a candidate, if Eire should want me as CP.

[Q5]You've been an advocate for in game communications rather than forums and IRC. Can you summarize your views on this subject?
[A5]I do not to sign up for any external site and limit myself almost entirely to in-game communications of mails/shouts/articles/comments. Excluding myself from these sites helps me view the goings-on of eIreland from the perspective of the average citizen. I believe that players can successfully play the entire game, inside the game, without ever being forced to join private 3rd party sites.

Can anyone deny that I have been successful influence in all modules of the game, without the aid of private forums? In the economic module, I am a well known entrepreneur. In the military module, I have taken a MU, and I have a few hero medals. In the media module, I have made a few articles worth reading. In the political module, I have been a congressman that helped shape our current (and very successful) tax structure. I made a decent run for CP last month, without any presence on the private forums or IRC channels. I think I have had a fairly successful eRep career, without needing any 3rd party sites.

[Q6]What do you enjoy most about your life in eIreland?
[A6]I enjoy being part of a country that is among the most honorable in eRep.
Despite all our internal disagreements, we maintain our integrity on the international stage. We argue about various political subjects, but all citizens know who our friends are. Even when TEDEN was on it's heels, and all of North America was wiped, we stayed loyal. We did not fall to the temptation of backstabbing our friends to join whomever might be winning at any given moment. The global conflict ebbs and flows through the years. Throughout it all, Eire has stood by our friends and honored our promises.
