Behold my fighting Brethren I have conducted a survey of the top 10 MU's in the UK to get a better understanding of how they doing and if they would like government funding or not.

Here are some of the results

No- 2 (the reasons were 1. 'No" was picked, but it actually depends on the amount and type of restrictions and conditions the government would impose along with such funding." and the other said " We are proud and richer than the Gov anyway" )

So the majority of MU's are not completely stable with supplies and overwhelmingly MU commanders say they would accept MU assistance from the government if it was available.

Now the UK is currently in a phase of lowering taxes and seeing if it will increase revenue, further decreases are coming I believe. If this latest attempt at trying to increase revenue streams by lowering taxes fails then I will be pushing for an increase in taxes to levels that can fund those MU's that need the assistance to get there MU supply structure from 'almost there' to all the way there so that there MU soldiers can be sure that they will always be receiving supplies and it will also reassure the MU commander that they do not have to take the full burden.

The government is supposedly here to give the citizens a competitive edge over other nations citizens. So instead of letting the private sphere try to do all of the work why not allow the government to be given the resources it needs to properly help those that need it and will accept it.

we would never be able to support MU's, and it would be a massive drain on surplus and reserves.

I would love it tbh for a govt funded MU, but the economy is so terribad as a module that we cannot justify it currently unless all the suppliers worked for the government.

never say never. I'am not talking about government fully supporting MU's just enough to help them stabilize (and grow if they need it) there supply base.

I would hate a totally funded MU.

In the last MoFA talk they were saying how they could cut the MPP stake and so we might have around 40-20 kk GDP so why not send some to help out these MU's

The MU's would have to give the MoF there list of structures and how many people they supply and with what and what they are looking to purchase with the government money they will be given, but besides that there will be no government strings attached to the money

I can see your point, however, the UK is a weak nation overall and we need to have some sort of surplus for war spending. When we attacked Azores, we spent a ton on like 3-4 battles, more than we could sustain. If we had spent a ton on MU before hand, we would have had no surplus to supply those fighting then.

Its not a case of not wanting to help MU, but can we actually do so, and who would benefit from it? Should the government support non-official MU like TUP Family or British Army who are both, in their very nature, political feeders where they can for their respective parties.
