Dear fellow citizen,

Innate to our virtual existence is the belief that the present is the worst situation we have ever been in. We boldly move forward whilst reminiscing a glorious moment, we curse against Plato and wage war against neighbors. It is false to believe in that current state of dystopia. Compared to the 'glory days' of V1, we have a much more stable monetary system and our soldiers have never been equipped this well (for comparison: tanks in V1 still often fought with Q1 weapons). V1 gave us peace and freedom, but we too easily forget it also gave us zero wars in three years. The crisis our nation faces is not the occupation by Poland, the real crisis is the failure to envision the possibility for improvement within our society, dependent on ourselves exclusively.


As Oscar Wilde sai😛 "Progress is the realisation of Utopias." 2014 brought us a lot of improvements, but I see stagnation and a clinging to outdated policies and dogmatic opinions. I intend to give our nation the boost it needs, and there is only one position from which a man can do so honorably. I therefore officially announce that I step into the ring as the I&W candidate for the upcoming presidential elections.


I plan to make two new significant changes, one to our foreign policy and one to our domestic policy. To convince someone of the truth, it is not enough to state it, but rather one must find the path from error to truth. I will therefor not announce them today, but in a later article where I can present all the details, so you can evaluate them with as much knowledge of the subject as I perceive to have.


Next to this I would also aim to speed up the process of rewriting the law book and assist in any way possible. It has been a thorn in my eye to see it's current poor state compared to when it was first rewritten by the capable hands of broersje and Hindrik (now Viglius), with a little help from myself in terms of proofing it against loopholes and ambiguity.


A final and minor point is to make some adjustments in the executive structure in various ways to aid in improving intra- and inter-executive communications (e.g. no more loss of possibly useful data in group pm's).
