Hey everyone, have I got something great for you today or what. In what can only be described as a vicious back and forth lashing of wit and roasts, the two CP candidates, Jude Connors and Wild Owl, went at it on IRC last night. The following are some of the key back and forths from the match that kept me reading for more than 2 minutes straight (it's a new record for me):

ROUND 1

Round 1 opened up by Wild Owl throwing a strong jab Jude's way:

Nov 01 20:42:17 Wild Owl - Debates are between equals...
Nov 01 20:42:24 Me- bang bang
Nov 01 20:42:28 Me- Hear that?
Nov 01 20:42:33 Me- Those were shots being fired

After a short period of staggering, Jude pulled himself up by his socialist bootstraps and fired back with a measured body strike on WO:

Nov 01 20:45:05 Jude - WildOwl knows i will smoke him in a debate
Nov 01 20:45:10 Jude - just like i smoke him in media
Nov 01 20:45:16 Jude - its ok WildOwl to be afraid

Now realizing this short man who eerily resembles James Franco is not gonna go down easily so a quick, simplistic counter came from WO to regain equal footing:

Nov 01 20:45:30 Wild Owl - I'll smoke you in the election though so its all good

This left Jude stumbling a little to end the roun😛

Nov 01 20:45:35 Jude - maybe not

ROUND 2

BUT, after consulting with his friends in the red corner, Jude noticed a weakness in WO's strategy:

Nov 01 20:46:01 Jude - you arent winning by much in any primary

The above was really two solid strikes and then a miss though as WO noticed, Jude didn't keep his hands up after the first two punches:

Nov 01 20:46:23 Wild Owl - I'm winning 17-5 in this party's primary last I checked

Essentially knocked back to square 1, Jude taunted his opponent to get into his head going into Round 3:

Nov 01 20:46:36 Jude - Oblige multies wil be banned by the 5th

ROUND 3

Going into the second last round, both opponents are looking weathered but still ready for more. Jude falls back on the strategy he feels work best and goes back on the offensive:

Nov 01 20:47:18 Jude - dont be a ****y

As the punches rained down, WO genuinely or not appeared to show no signs of feeling pain:

Seconds passed that seemed like the fight was heading into the Mayweather-Pacquiao realm of hugging until Jude again start the flurry:

But this time, WO interrupts the attack with a reminder right cross:

Nov 01 20:52:49 Jude - then get up to my level, kid
Nov 01 20:53:00 Wild Owl - Owls don't debate with vermin.
Nov 01 20:53:02 Wild Owl - End of story.

Then as I enter "I'm scared for my life" mode, round 3 ends:

Nov 01 20:53:08 * Matt_Oaks activates neutral status

ROUND 4

To open up the 4th and final round, Jude continues to challenge his chosen weak-spots in WO's defence:

Wild Owl could be heard sarcastically laughing in the ring and followed up with the following jab:

The following is the remainder of the fight as televised last night. I've decided to remove the ocmmentary from the following portion so as to allow the sheer atmosphere of the moment become apparent. Recently during Presidential Elections a huge Drama was caused because one Candidate refused to debate. IMHO, once the word no left WOs fingers he was the loser; it is also another example of his don't rock the boat policies.
