Yup, it's surprising how scare tactics can be so effective lately. Is it because there's great threats these days or that there's greater fear-mongering. I just learned this week that, in school, my kids can't point out there index finger and stick up their thumb because ALL GUNS (even fingerguns) have no place in schools or on the playground.

At least we can still bomb the shit out of small countries and then embargo them back to the stone age. Without that, the West wouldn't have much to back it's love of freedom, democracy, consumerism, and blockbuster movies.
