[CP] LIBERATING IRELAND, NAP WITH POLAND AND MORE...

Today, Day 1755 eIreland and ePoland have officially signed a NAP treaty that will insure the release of all the Irish regions under Polish control, It is similiar to those signed by Germany and france however we are entitled to set our CoD to who we want.You can see the terms of the full contract here:

Over the next few days we will regain all our regions from Poland. I would like to personally thank stoich who acted as a mediator between the 2 countries for the duration of the negotiations.
The majority of congress passed the treaty yesterday so I would like to thank them for their co-operation also.
I would like to thank our MoFA Sawc as he set up the foundation of this agreement and played a huge role in the negotiations. He deserves a lot of praise and will be releasing a MoFA article on the issue soon. 🙂
Lastly I would like to thank the Irish people for their support, their opinions and their advise. I tried to negotiate a treaty that would suit the majority of people.

On a separate note if any of you have read this article you will know that our MoF, Sweet Drinker is retiring. He has done great deeds for Ireland and I wish him the best of luck in his future eLife.
Therefore our new MoF will be left to the capable hands of DreadedEstate.

In case any of you are wondering, the treaty with UK will be reinstated once we have our regions back. We are looking into possible changes of regions however I will keep you updated on that as it gets closer to the time.
For now it is time to celebrate so grab a pint of Guinness and enjoy yourself.

Oh an great work on telling EDEN to fight for us, getting them to fight for us and then run off and sign a treaty as soon as you realized my idea was a million times better.

I said in my pre-election campaign that if we could get a NAP with all our regions back I would go for that.
I never once told EDEN to fight for us during negotiations. I made sure EDEN were aware that we were working on an NAP.

I don't think Poland would agree with NaP if we didn't pushed so hard in that rw ; after that part of treaty is changed and now we can fight and put CoD against them which wasn't case before Mayo last round. So it's not useless.

Question: Bean with the pressure Poland is under now, do you think we could of won back the regions without a NAP? Being wiped is no fun, but we got into this because not doing anything is even worse. Will we have any other war this month? What is the plan.
Can't blame Chewie for being mad. Does a Bulgarian negotiating for Ireland mean we are going to move closer to CoT. Do not anwser that, just had to throw that in to poke Chewie a bit.
moo yes we could have got back a region or two but it would of taken a lot of money and damage. This way we get all our regions back and can give our damage to our friends. I am looking into a more reasonable enemy that we can actually enjoy fighting yes.

btw Poland wanted a NAP before the Mayo battle even started. It's quite clear that EDEN would not have moved to fight had they known this NAP was gonna be signed before the battle even ended.

Where was this? I'm in congress and this treaty is different than the one I voted on yesterday.
I agreed with the NE with Poland because I felt it would be a good and fun idea and I still stand behind my decision because I am a stand up individual who gives his word and does not break it unlike some of these other losers I keep seeing running circles around the population of eIreland.
As far as this treaty goes I voted yes on this as well because although SOME of us fought our hardest it was clear there would be no easy way of regaining our land in a reasonable amount of time other then this treaty. All in all I think it was a fun and exciting learning experience for all of us and I do not regret it one bit.

So in other words we cannot help liberate polish-held regions anywhere on the globe, including our allies' home regions? I'm no lawyer but does this not directly conflict with our EDEN treaty pledging mutual defense against aggressors?
Ha like EDEN was there when we got wiped. As far as I am concerned EDEN is second priority.

Congress votes on a war we cannot win
Congress then votes on screwing our alliance friends and helping Poland suppress them
Meanwhile Poland is about to wipe France again down to a 'misunderstanding' on the NAP they both signed.
As iBhoy says, what's the point in being in an alliance when your mutual enemy ties your hand behind your backs?
We could have bluffed Poland on the NAP, they were really struggling last night. Or we could have refused to sign it at all. What's the rush? Oh yeah, forgot, congress elections...
I believe this whole war could have been avoided had communications with France, Germany, and Canada been better before we chose to NE Poland. We "did it for our allies" but they obviously weren't expecting it or didn't care to return the favor because they signed treaties right after. Now we can't help them in RWs against Poland. Although that's not ideal, at least congress won't be able to do anything stupid for 2 months.
I think you did a great job, you stated you would sign and NAP if it meant we get our land back, and there it is. Keep up the great work, and get Dublin back!
