[CP] Dreaded no Win scenario

Every once in awhile your put in a situation where you have to turn a forth coming defeat into some semblance of victory. This past weekend was my own dreaded no win scenario and I've been there before many times in the past. TBH I don't believe in no win scenario's if my choice of enemies in this game says anything.
A lesson can be learned to any player that has there eyes on the CP chair in the coming future. Don't take the job unless you have the right people lined up to work with your govt and that are willing to get there hands dirty for the good of there country. Back in the day I used to try and do it all so it was nice to have a reliable team I could count on during this war. I'd like to thank DMV, kloppy, Xichael and the rest of my cabinet plus all the usual tanking minions for a job well done.
Even with my team, CO's and hired mercs we owe all our allies a debt that one day when your all crying about no wars for our nation and are bored can repay. You march to the front for allies that helped us over the weekend. All debts can be repaid to friends as well as enemies. Never forget.
Play by Play
I know the first week of the presidency was boring while War Machine picked out Pakistan as our foe of choice. To those actually involved directly in war machine its a fun endeavor that if you can afford it and haven't yet should take part in atleast once.
I was pretty damn sure that once we got a foothold in Pakistan sh1t would hit the fan as its a current viotile hot zone. I wasn't disappointed as I did want a real war for entertainment. Pakistan served its purpose as a catalyst. Turkey predictably entered the fray. At that point I decided to send a semi troll article that way to stir things up and get everyone ready for a good old fashioned war.
I got a little more than I bargained for waking up the next day. With Albania Airstriking and randomly UK entering the mix. Shortly thereafter Croatia NE'd as well.
First thing that went through my head was F@ck what I do now. Then I embraced the created chaos and pulled out the white elmers school glue and scotch tape to hold this sh1t together. The odds were stacked against us as they were all going to hit outta timezone or so we thought. One error on the battlefield can turn the tide.
I decided early that Canickistan was lost. Some thought we should have tried to defend it but I wasn't going to sink our CC and resources into a war that at best we could extend a couple days if even that. More than likely extend a couple rounds in all honesty. Pakistan was wiped so we could take that and walk away as Turkey and Croatia were not going to be stopped by us while defending the homeland. I wanted our stay to be longer but you have to make the best of a bad situation. As with any triage sacrifices must be made and Canickistan was that sacrfice.
Hope you all had fun while it lasted.
In the meantime every late night merc unit we could find was being hired for an all out defence of the nation against Albania. Our allies carried us while we slept and to make an already long story shorter there still picking up whats left of Albania's Airforce outta lake Winnipeg.
To the east standing orders were to completely ignored the UK as they assaulted our coast. That was until they tried a damage drain maneuver during our timezone to help Albania. It was a ballsy gamble I'll give them credit for but ultimately it was a mistake as we proceeded to slap down CO's and a W in there face as well. Now its up to us to decide how this next part of the story is going to end.
Atleast we have a war for the Epic tournament and it saves me the time of going to pick a fight.
There are still some rumours circulating that the fun may not just stop with the UK. But as of now there just rumours and until I see buttons pushed we stand ready as always to make sure none shall land.
You can be sure when fighting the UK we have but to wait to see who they draw in to fight there battles for them and not through there own MPP's either.
There's to many to name so a thx to everyone that came to Canada's aid. Even if some of you F@ckers were paid lmao!!!

Yeah, Canuckistan was fun while it lasted but as you say, it was only the catalyst. Nice to see people tripping over themselves trying to use strategy to defeat one simple maneuver. Punch first, hit hard, then get the hell out! lol
Don't forget the fun RW's that Canucks are famous for. Albania is about done, who's next?

Fortunately, this wasn't the "Wrath of Khan" Kobayashi Maru where Kirk had to learn a valuable but devastating life-changing lesson, which he then had to impart upon his crew. This was the JJ Abrams Kobayashi Maru, where it's hilarious because Kirk is eating an apple and not giving a fk, and lessons learned by everyone = zero.
For the record, though, eCanada is the "Wrath of Khan" of ecountries.

The story never ends.
I consider Canuckistan a success. It's always great when you land a flawless air strike, even when the inhabitants are content with grumbling. Also, much fun seeing Turkey get trolled so successfully. Their reaction to Rylde's article was worth the cost of the AS on its own.
It was fun but it was not a success.
What would you have considered successful?
Hold Pakistan and have a Colony.
That will happen the day we are bigger than Poland.
That wasn't the goal, it was fairly clear going in we were going to kicked out. So our goal was to finish the wipe. I'm sorry we didn't live up to your expectations by staving off Croatia and Turkey and depleting the treasury even more so.
oh god, just stop. You asked me a question and I answered. I don't want to read you droning on. Sorry you suck politically and can't figure out how to appease turkey and hold Pakistan. It isn't rocket science.

A solid and entertaining campaign that went as well as it could have gone.
Canukistan was definitely a success. To be allowed to land successfully in itself with all the herd gathered there was funny. It just shows what one nation can do. Congratulations on a job well done and with style 🙂

Canadian way and desperate way are two very different things.
Eh, from an outside observer's viewpoint, I think y'all pulled it off fairly well. Very rarely is any war in eRep an outright win, and if it is, it usually doesn't stay that way for long. If you can start some s**t, have fun, and get away without losing outright or blowing all your reserves, you've probably done pretty well, all things considered.

But, on a serious note, I've just been paying more attention lately, since it strikes me that eCan and the eUS are an interesting study in contrasts. Despite us having similar RL societal roots, our communities have grown up quite differently in eRep, at least in terms of what it means to win at this game and how to best have fun with it.
