[Ash] Rebuilding A Community

Dear all,

Since quite a while the game has been very boring and I have just been mechanically going about my business for reasons I scarcely understood myself. Nothing was really interesting, and the usual brouhaha over India Pak wars and allegations was all a very boring deja vu. As they say haters always hate and the wise stop caring 🙂

I have been on holiday a while (its almost over now) but surprisingly the last week/10 days have turned out to be quite interesting! I have been buoyed by what seemed to be a failed mission by Bombay Bomb to try and revive the DPI into action and get some semblance of activity going. I always support fresh new players and ideas and I obviously agreed (not that I did much to help... probably just gave moral support) Turns out that with Kunal Grover and Anurag, they have brought about quite a renaissance! There has been some serious activity on the internal party threads and a genuine Democratic process leading to creating something that has the shades of the old DPI way back when I was new to the game and we had shail, anant, david etc playing.

To add to it, an old "nemesis" (due to misunderstandings in those PTO days) and now a friend ... LordRajIndia resurfaced and has joined the party too. Its been great to see old and new faces, all being active and contributing to useful discussions.

While Kunal has been instrumental in moving the party forward, its Obelisk our very own Armu, who has been the other active synergy for the country. He has painstakingly created citizen threads spanning across divisions and has been trying to wake everyone up and get them involved. Thankfully the response has been quite decent and its awesome to see that there are so many genuine Indians playing! 🙂

I see good times coming up again with so many new faces that actually are playing the game well and being involved... commenting, writing articles...and I will shortly be restarting the meetup and other cool real life reward and exciting programs if things keep going well for another 10 days.

Feels great to finally have a community starting to re-emerge 🙂 Let's try to get stronger...even if its party politics that gets us there...eventually we are all one and we will grow.

After many many months/years maybe...I finally feel optimistic!
