[AMP] Israel 4 PP - Party Plans

Yesterday, I announced my candidacy for Party President. Today, I want to share with you some of the plans I have to strengthen the party as a whole. But first, Haliman wrote me a glowing endorsement on the American Military Party Forums. I must admit that Hali made me blush a little when I read it. I am proud to have Haliman’s support. In my opinion, one of the main goals of a political party, is to foster new citizens, so that one day, they can be America’s leaders. With that in mind, I plan on using the AMP’s education department to it’s fullest extent. To run this department, Project Psion has agreed to come on board and run the Education Department. Many of you should remember PP as our PAC Director, and I had wanted him to fill this role. However, he will be unable to be on IRC on the 25th, and thus, could not accept.
Project Psion was one of the founders of the Education Department. Along with the current Director, Cleveland Fleman, the two of them built a department from the ground up. Populating it with guides, programs and contests. They have done a great job, but I plan on taking the department even further. Specific New Player Guides published both on the forum, and in game, to help all new players find enjoyment in eRep. I also plan to direct PP(or his deputy) to message all new Americans, and offer them assistance. Whether they join the AMP is second. A strong, passionate, new generation of Americans is what we need.

We need these, more than we need Party Members

I also plan on making the AMP a more fun place to be. Whether it is just hanging out in #amp, or perusing our forums, I want people to associate a level of fun with the AMP.
As such, I plan on having my as yet unnamed Director of Fun really ramp up the activity. Forum posts like this are exactly what I have in mind. (By the way, that thread is my favorite one on the forum so far. It’s awesome.) I have other plans as well, shout competitions, as well as IRC games, and trivia nights. With any luck, the AMP will be a fun place to be in October/November.

As you can see, I’ve put a lot of thought into what I plan on doing if elected Party President. It’s more than just winning a lot of Congressional Seats. It is about strengthening the party for the future, so that the AMP isn’t just a flash in the pan.
