What are the UK doing?

When we sucessfuly took Wales from the UK, personally, I thought it was lucky and they would start a resistance war and we would lose Wales, like with Estonia. Then we took the North West of Britain, and I thought that the UK were up to something. But now, we are succesfully conquering another part of Britain, and we are winning the resistance war against the UK. It is in no way beneficial for the UK, for us to be taking their land, so what are they planning?

They are known allies of Poland, so perhaps, the UK, has made some sort of deal with Poland, that would somehow help Poland cross the Atlantic.

Probably a bit of rope-a-dope going on letting us burn through our war chest and supplies. Plus they like us so much, its almost like having a friend come by for dinner.
