New Alliances
Recently, several new alliances have sprung into being, some major, some minor. The smallest of these newer alliances, Great Divine Russia, came into being yesterday. At first, it consisted of Cyprus and Russia, but Cyprus has recently abandoned the alliance, leaving Russia the only member. The next biggest, Asgard, is the oldest of the current alliances, being formed in 2012. It consists of Sweden, Norway, and Finland, Canada having left at some point. Next is Leto, the sub-alliance of Asteria, which will be mentioned later on. Leto is made up of the Republic of Moldova, the ROC (Taiwan), Portugal, Israel, Colombia, and Belarus. Next comes Sirius, made up of some of the strongest countries from both TWO and CoT. This alliance is made up of the United States, Croatia, Brazil, the UK, Turkey, and Spoland (Spain + Poland). Next of course is Ireland's alliance, Aurora, which has not been officially formed yet. Last, but not least, is Asteria. Asteria has a solid block of power in Europe, as well as Asia and South America. It consists of Serbia, Slovenia, Romania, Hungary, Greece, China, and Argentina. Of all the alliances, Ireland is most likely to fight this one, as it consists of many of our old rivals, including Argentina.

The Nations of Asteria

Resistance in Southern Europe
Serbia's hold on the Balkans and Southern Europe is once again being loosened by resistance efforts in the area. Croatian and Bosnian resistance forces are taking back occupied regions, as well as occasionally striking at Serbian occupied Apulia, a key region in Italy. The region is important due to it being the only direct link between the Balkans and southern Italy. Serbia has also faced massive resistance in France and Italy, with much of their French territory falling to resistance fighters or American and Spanish forces.

Roughly the Situation in Europe

Argentina's Growing Empire
Argentina continues to have a steady grip over South America, and has expanded to the Baltic region of Europe. Resistance seems not to be helping much, as Argentinian influence slowly spreads. Argentina is one of the new members of Asteria, and will likely contribute most of their influence in the western hemisphere. At the moment, Argentina controls territory in Bolivia, Brazil, Peru, South Africa, Latvia, and Estonia. Argentina being an old enemy/rival, Ireland is likely to come into conflict with them at some point. Hopefully, these nations will soon break free.

Argentina Might Be In Trouble...

Where Ireland Fits In
Ireland is going to become one of the founding members of Aurora, the new alliance. This will likely allow us to continue our positive relations with Sirius nations like the United States and Croatia, some of our closest allies. However, the fact that Sirius will likely conflict with Asteria could risk harming our relations with pro-Asteria nations like France and Canada, also our close allies. However, it is unlikely that Canada and Ireland will ever truly be enemies, and are likely to continue being allies for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, I encourage people to help fight resistance wars against Asteria and pro-Asteria nations, or basically against large empires in general.

To Sum Things Up
Ireland could have a major place in world affairs in the months to come. We should work on building relations with our allies, preparing airstrikes, and helping our friends who are being occupied by bigger, stronger countries. Also, I generally don't talk about things outside of the game, but I'd like to ask people to help out Ukraine in any resistance wars they fight. Ukrainian players are having a hard enough time in real life, lets not make it harder in game.

If This Confuses You, You Weren't Paying Attention!

See you next week Ireland!
