v2 - Battlefield's stats and an advice

Day 948, 11:09 Published in Romania Romania by Bogdan_L

As you can see, the "migration skills" dialog box is available. My advice: DON'T DO IT YET!

Take some moments to log in into beta.erepublik.com. Go on the battlefield. You have lots of battles to fight for. Spend some time and try each military skill. Infantry, artillery, tanks, helicopters. Each can move a certain distance (mobility), each can travel over certain relief (disponibility), each has some advantages over another one. Don't rush! Even more important take some time to go on your military unit channel or choose a military unit to enroll in. The strategy will play a very important role in v2 and better be advised and gather all the knowledge before to decide.

Last time when I checked the battlefield, the map looked something like that:

p- plain
f-forest
h-hill
m-mountain
w-water
b-bridge

All of them seemed to be fixed. Not the same with the cities, hospitals and all the other stuff, but all of them built on plain hexagones.

400 cells in total, 10% already taken by the attacker, another 10% on the defender side. At the stake 320 cells.
Some cells have defending advantages (20% bonus) for some military skills.

We have 143 plain cells (45😵 where the tanks have 20% defending bonus.
75 mountain cells (23😵 - no bonus
55 forest cells - 20% bonus for the infantry
17 hill cells - 20% defending bonus for the helicopters
5(in this example) cities - 20% defending bonus for the artillery
25 water cells and another 4 cells bridges - no defending bonus

In addition to that each type of cell can be used to deploy or move by certain military skills:

plain- all of them
mountain - infantry and helicopters
forest - all of them
hill - all of them
water - helicopters

The helicopters can move 3 cells, the tanks 2 cells, infantry and artillery 1 cell.

So as you can see there are a lot of variables, when the moment will come you will have your real fight in v2, try to choose the form of relief that gives you the bonus for your skill, try to choose an opponent with a skill you have an advantage over (tanks over infantry, helicopters over tanks, artillery over helicopters and infantry over artillery). Try to maximize everything that's free and depends only on your decision.

But for now, don';t rush choosing some skill. Even some skills seems to be with advantages over the other, keep in mind The Insider: all of them should be balanced, each better than another one but none better than all. The parameters are subject to change.

Don't rush, get knowledge and decide at the end.

Good luck and enjoy v2!
