Tiacha for Illinois- Not your generic campaign article

Day 700, 11:19 Published in USA USA by Tiacha

Once again, it's that time of month where every noob and their mom is putting up a campaign article asking for your vote. While I'm not your run of the mill citizen, I'm not going to waste your time giving you promises I can't keep. I'm not gonna promise you the shinny new Q5 hospital for your state or a decrease in income taxes to help your business. What I can tell you about is myself, my experience, and what I can do to help the eUS continue to grow and prosper.

A little background on where and with whom I'm running

I'm running in the great state of Illinois this month. Why? Because Illinois has a history of producing great senators. From former AAP PP Aren Perry, to one of my closest eRep friends, NeilP99. I want to continue the tradition of giving Illinois the representation they deserve, a hardy, honest Midwestern gal.

This month, I'm running under the Libertarian banner. I'd like to thank the Libertarian Party for giving me the opportunity to run. As a member of a 6th party, it's often hard to find parties to run candidates under. To this date, I've run as a candidate in 4 of the top 5 parties, the only party I haven't run under being the CVP. While I'd like to run under all top 5 party banners, it looks as though, knock on wood, that might not happen if the Federalist Party continues to grow. But I'd like to illustrate that my running under so many parties shows not only my dedication to our nation, but my dedication to multipartisanship, which has always been a major part of my eRep philosophy.

My Qualifications

Here's a list of past and present positions in the eUS government as well as political party positions. This should give you an idea of my background.

1.Former Fed PP
2. 4 Time Congresswoman
3. Current Deputy Speaker of the House
4. Current Chair of the Military Committee
5. Former Chair of the Government Oversight Committee
6. Author of the Public Information Act, which was the first piece of legislation to push for public disclosure of Congressional activities.
7. Former and current Secretary of Education
8. Co-Founder of NAU
9. Former Chief of Staff under Scrabman
10. Former Vice Presidential Candidate.
11. Former Marine Officer

As you can see, my experience is vast and covers all aspects of eRepublik. I know the ins and outs of how game mechanics and how the eUS government works. A vote for Tiacha is a vote for experience that you can trust.

Reasons why you should vote for Tiacha
1.To improve the eUS through experience and knowledge of game mechanics. As the current and first Secretary of Education, I know how the government works. I've been working hard to make sure new and old citizens alike continue to grow, learn, and develop the skills needed to make the eUS a success. With the new semester of North American University starting on the 26th, there's a class for everyone. New classes include Military 101, taught by Marine QMG Sukoidha, which should prove to be exciting for new and old players to learn about the military aspects of eRep. I think it'll be special because its taught by one of the leading military experts in the eUS military. The second new class includes a new Senator Orientation, taught by myself. Its open to first time senators for the purpose of teaching them the procedure and protocol of the eUS Congress. Both these new classes and the old ones are designed to help the eUS. Its always been my goal in all the DoE initiatives to help all citizens learn about the game.

2. To be an advocate for increased communication between the legislative and executive branch. Right now, there seems to be a lot of distrust between the executive and the legislative branch. The administration feels as though Congress cannot be trusted to make important decisions and Congress feels left out from the decision making process. That needs to end in order to Congress and the administration to stop petty fights over donations and funding of programs. It is my goal to help communication by making suggestions to both Congress and the administration on how to increase communication. It is my goal to act as a mediator, as I'm a member of both Congress and the current administration. Once both Congress and executive realize that they are not enemies of each other, communication and the morale of both organizations will improve.

3. To be an ACTIVE voice in Congress. As Deputy Speaker of the House, I've been a major advocate in voting reform and the way Congress records votes. The new records can be found on this forum. http://eusforum.com/index.php/board,18.0.html They are much less tedious than the previous spreadsheet. As you can see by my post count on the forums, and through the opinion of other senators, I'm an active voice within Congress. A vote for me, continues a high level of professional activity.

4. To dispel the myth that senators know nothing. There is a loud opinion among the veterans with the eUS that Congress is a thankless position, filled with new players that vote for proposals mindlessly and haphazardly. With the creation of NAU's new senator orientation, I hope to dispel that myth and help create senators who are ready to serve the eUS with the knowledge of their office. Plus, I can tell you, I'm a senator, and I know what I'm talking about.

5. To make sure our troops are funded well. As a former Marine officer, I have a lot of pride for our troops. As a Congresswoman and the chair of the military committee, it has always been my priority to make sure our troops get the funds they need. If re-elected, I can ensure all members of our troops that I will continue to fight to make sure you get the funds you need.

Tiacha, a woman who has dedicated her eLife to the eUS and you.
In the 1 year+ that I've played this game, I've always dedicated my eLife to improving the quality of life for the eUS citizen. Whether it has been sacrificing my skills and salary to work at a Q5 hospital company (both Justinious' company and now at McFarland's), or through creating citizen programs to increase the education of our citizens, or organizing an administration (under Scrabman). I've done it all. If you want a vote for experience and competence in Congress, vote Tiacha in Illinois on the 25th!
