The Weekly Prophet - Exclusive interview with CM-candidacy - Congress Telex

Day 1,127, 18:39 Published in Belgium United Kingdom by NLSP

This week will be the most important week of the month, you will have the chance to vote for your representative!
So if you are wondering, why there is a mid-week edition of The Weekly Prophet, you have your answer.
We are proudly to present that as first eRepublik newspaper, The Weekly Prophet was able to get an interview with the one and only eBelgian minister of Justice, Congress Member for Flanders, BCP partymember and editor of this newcomer in the eBelgium media-landscape, the one and only The Weekly Prophet.

Exclusive interview

TWP:Minister, how are you?
NLSP:Well to be honest, I am quite busy for the moment. Like possible a few among my readers, I have also a life outside eRepublik, that is so time consuming and I have managed to expand my portfolio from being an two-clicker to take positions in both Congress as governement, without neglecting the responsbility I have to my party, The BCP (The Belgian Communist Party, Ed.) and editing an ambitious newspaper as The Weekly Prophet. I have to admit that it is sometimes a lot.

TWP:So did you take up to much responbilities then?
NLSP:I don't believe in something as to much responsbility, but I can understand that some of the citizens can be afraid that I wouldn't have time to do my full portfolio to the highest standards. Now in that case I can reassure them that this isn't the case. The workload at the ministy is stabilizing, after a few hectical weeks and also as Congress Member I am still active and voting wisely on every proposal. Both are also very strong

connected with each other, since my interests as Congress Member are inside the topics that the Ministry of Justice take care of. Because I am able to give myself in it for a full 100%, I want to extend my term to continue the things that I have already started. That is also why I am announcing here that I will candidate myself again for Congress Member.

TWP:That wasn't a surprise according to the political analists, you surely likes the political part of eRepublik. But why should the voters in Flanders vote on you?
NLSP:Well, sadly enough for the voters in Flanders, but without moving to Wallonia they can't vote for me. There will be naturally enough good and valid candidates from the BCP that deserves their vote, but this term I am coming up in Wallonia

TWP:Why Wallonia?
NLSP:Well I don't believe that we should look to eBelgium as just a bunch of regions. For me is every regions important and I want to represent whole eBelgium and not just a region. I can promise every eBelgium citizen that I will make work again to increase the welfare of eBelgium, its citizens and friends. More exactly you can expect from me that I will keep up my efforts to improve the legal cadre where we are working in. If it is about Anti-Political Takeovers, or the constitution or somuch more.

TWP:That are all nice words, but do we have to believe them? Are there also things that you are to lazy to take care of?
NLSP:Well, you can believe me or you can't. This choice is totally yours, but I can assure you that I follow the Code of Conduct (the version made in this post, Ed.) and that al my friends and enemies can say a lot of me, but they never question my integrity. I have to admit that I am no wonderboy, and that there are things that I will not take an initiative for. This is not because I am to lazy, but more because it is not my area of expertise. Please don't expect from me that I come up with a new tax plan, I haven't figured anything like that out yet and I will need a lot of more free time to do that. Nevertheless, you can always expect from me, that I will vote on any proposal made.

TWP:Free time, you say. Do you have that a lot? What do you do in real life?
NLSP:Well I am a student, what means that I have a lot of free time and that it is used to do some not usefull stuff. I am in an Erasmus Mundus Master program, what means that in 2 years I will study in 3 countries. That isn't as easy as it sounds because of the different eduction systems it means a lot of time, that I don't have holidays and so. But I am still a student, an being online at 3h00 in the morning isn't a exception. For the rest, I am a Belgian Citizen, speaks Dutch, English a little bit German and some basics French. Furthermore, I really like 'Bicky Burgers'

TWP: While you used our questions as a small propaganda tool, can you say what your ambition are in the future?
NLSP:Wel first of all, I am loyal to the eBelgian citizens and I want to serve them anymore. Further as editor I want to expand this newspaper and have an ambitous 100 subscribers and as a citizen I want to start exploring the part of eRepublik wher you can be an employee. For the rest, I just try to fullfill the whishes of my country and my party. My believe is that I have to do anything in my power to help unite eBelgium and if it is needed to work, either in Congress or in the governement, with some persons that aren't my best friends, I can, do, will do and have done all in my ability to place the interests of eBelgium first, and work together.

TWP:Okey, our time is up, let ends with an interisting question, what is you greatest failure yet?
NLSP:If we keep it to eRepublik, because nobody wants to hear all about my failures in real life, I have to admit that my greatest failure was, that one time I really thought that admins of this game are improving it. I can assure you know, that such a delusional idea has desappeared from my thoughts

TWP:Thank you for this exclusive and we hope to hear more of you soon

The Weekly Prophet expects at least some sense of duty in the congress members and we hope so do you!
We advise you to be a little bit cautious in the elections and don't just vote on anyone. Vote on candidates who deserve it! Vote on official candidates that are endorsed by their party 🙂

Congress has been busy last days a small summary:
