Hi everyone! It is time for yet another article with some news about my political position in the upcoming CP-election as part of Jaspers planned cabinet, the situation around my plans as part of the congress and some news about a project I’ve been asked to participate in.
As many may have noticed I’ve been placed as vMoD in jaspers planned cabinet for the next CP-election. This might confuse some of you, as I started my first term in congress with my focus on education for new players in eNorway. But just because I’ll be part of the MoD doesn’t mean I’m giving up on my plans for a eUniversity of eNorway. The reason is just that I don’t have enough knowledge about the game (especially the political part) to lead such a project just yet, and instead wish to secure good routines and a steady flow of information to the leaders of each MU about what countries they should prioritize their DOs each week. This is to ensure that our DOs are directed to our allies, rather than a random battle somewhere that we must spend money or travelling tickets to participate in. But I will still try to get a eUniversity-project started, as we already have a good start from an earlier school project in the eNorway forums.
In the beginning of this congress term I said that my focus would be the following:
1. The creation of eNorways first proper eUniversity, with both an English and a Norwegian section.
2. A mentor program run directly by the government.
3. Official recruitment campaigns put together by the government.
Unfortunately I have failed to get anything started, not because I am lazy or have forgotten my own priorities, but because I still don’t have anywhere to discuss this with the rest of the congress, except through PMs. To me this is a serious problem which I now have the intention of solving once and for all. I will demand that if there is some place where the rest of the congress has access to and are able to discuss without me, I’ll get immediate access as part of the congress. If no such place is available at least some kind of temporary communication platform should be made available, like a new congress forum or some kind of congress chat.
Another thing I wish to inform you all about is the fact that I have been asked to represent eNorway in a project of an international newspaper. I have received a deadline within 15:00 tomorrow, but I don’t know what kind of timezone my deadline is set in, which I’ve asked about. Anyway the person behind this project is Mercurius100 and the project is being supported by journalists from several countries already. The article itself will be focused around my earlier articles and some of the recent events in eNorway.

Congress seems to be a bit of a mess this month...especially since its only 5 people.

Indeed. I feel quite powerless and have to depend on Joshua and Indigo if I want something done... could have just as well been a regular citizen as things are now....

Did Indigo not start a new mass pm with the entire Government and the new Congress in it?
Don't think so. In my inbox there's only one conversation between him and me. Other than that it's only you and different people either outside the government or from outside eNorway. My inbox on my forum-account is also empty, which means there is no such pm to be found there either.
OK, well usually the CP or someone from the Government will start a mass pm when a new Congress is elected and if one hasn't bin done yet that means that the Government isn't really working.
I cannot remember to have received any such message. And up until now I've kept all the conversations I've had since you asked me to participate in the congress election. Therefore I'm quite sure no such pm has been sent, at least not to me.
OK well CP elections are in a couple days anyways. In the meantime message Tommy again and see about your posting rights.

Even though CP election is just around the corner, I would like to make some kind of accomplishment before that. Therefore I have given Indigo some pressure within 24 hours. Though, I don't wish to have a bad relationship with anyone, but I can't allow him or the current cabinet to get away with not doing their job properly.

Your the CP, its your Government, yes YOU should make it. Lead by example. Do not ask someone to do something you would not do yourself. Take some responsibility and do something for yourself this term, its not like you've done anything else the least you could do is create a mass pm so the rest of your Government can work.

Må bare si BloodTrail, du misforstår litt, Det er ikke krav at det er CP som skal lage "mass PM", og av og til er det helt vanlig kongressmedlem som lager tråden selv om med den forrige kongressen hadde en "mass PM" tråd laget av Indigo. Ettersom det er du som etterlyser en slik tråd, ville det i utgangspunktet ha vært mer naturlig at du har laget tråden. Det kan faktisk hende at CP på det nåværende tidspunktet ikke har behov for å kommunisere med kongressen, men at det heller er enkelte kongressmedlemmer som har behov kommunisere med de andre kongressmedlemmene/CP mm.
Ellers har jo mirc blitt mye brukt tidligere ifm. erepublik.

Takk for respons, men jeg synes likevel at CP skal ta på seg et slikt ansvar.
Jau, det kan du si. Poenget mitt er at jeg synes at du drar det for langt når du skriver at du ikke kan tillate dem å ikke gjøre en skikkelig jobb.
Så klart kan jeg ikke tillate det? Man blir jo valgt for nettopp å gjøre en skikkelig jobb. Og selv om dette sant nok er et spill, mener jeg at man fortsatt skal gjøre det man selv har stilt seg til å gjøre. Derfor synes jeg at det å bare la slikt gå i glemmeboka og ikke gjøre noe med situasjonen er direkte uansvarlig, noe jeg selv ikke ønsker å føle meg...
Indigo ran on a campaign of being "one of Norway's most active citizens" and he cannot even show up to create a mass pm for his OWN Government. Its the least he could do, its not like he has done anything else.

Må jo bare spørre hvorfor lager ikke du den selv? har aldri vært noen regel om at CP/government skal lage den. 🙂
Først og fremst var det fordi jeg selv ikke var klar over det med "mass PM" før for bare noen få dager siden ellerno. I tillegg fordi jeg er irritert over at ingenting ble gjort for å hjelpe til med å få til noe, enda jeg gang på gang uttalte i flere artikler om problemet.
Og som jeg nevnte til deg, ville jeg ordne noe slikt, men bare med resten av kongressen og ikke CP/government hvis du eller noen andre ikke tok initiativ. På en måte er dette i mine øyne det samme som å vise null tillit til nåværende CP/government, og dermed informerte jeg om nettopp dette.
Personally I would vastly prefer if people discussed their plans for new projects on the forum instead of "behind closed doors" on a thread that will disappear after a few weeks of not being used.
