Provoke Thought: #1: When are you a gamer??

Disclaimer:
Provoke Thought is a "series" I do where I take anything - eWorld related or not - that is thought provoking and I write about it. The goal of this is to get the community involved and talking in the comments to think about the topic. This series is starting out as something I'm doing until I know enough of the eWorld to write actual articles.
Fellow eCitizens!
I was listening to a Podcast when one of the show hosts brought up a question that I've honestly never thought of.. Who is considered a gamer? How do you become a gamer? Then, when do you become a "hardcore" gamer?
So I ask you, at what point do you consider yourself and others a gamer? When are they considered casual and "hardcore" gamers? Talk about this in the comments and lets see what the general response is.
Short article, I know. I'm catching up on eEvents so I can write real articles!

I've said it multiple times in the article, but I really want people to know that articles such as this will become more and more scarce as I learn and find things to write about. I'm trying to write 1+ articles per day but I really don't know about the current eEvents, so I can't write about news. Instead I'm starting this, which won't happen all that often, and I will be starting another 'series' (Got a better name for it?), which will be related to in-game events - or problems.
Anyone can be considered a gamer. Though in today's world a gamer would have to play a game through some type electronic device eg😛hone,Console, or PC. You become a gamer when you acknowledged that is part of how you define yourself. You become a hardcore" gamer when that becomes mostly what your life consist of. You spend most of your time playing games or thinking about them when your not playing. You feel withdraw when you don't play for a extended amount of time. Some will disagree and have their own definition, but I think this would be the most general definition
I like that definition.
