Need Help
Vishroid
Hey friends,
I'm in last year of my Under-Graduate Course, (B.tech Biotech), 2 months left.
And i want to pursue Master's Degree in Biotechnology as well.
I know that this game is played across the globe, with thousands of players participating in it.
So i hope that i'll get some help from you guys in getting information about the best colleges and universities around the world, which provide MRes, M.Eng or M.tech in Biotechnology.
Please help me, as i'm confused with my findings on internet.
You can either PM me the details or comment below.
Thank you.

I know Imperial College London is good, don't know if it does anything other than Msc though and M.I.T is an obvious one
Imperial (Y)
That very much depends on your budget.
The USA has a good reputation for Engineering, I would imagine. Germany has good places too but the language might be a barrier.
Center for Science and Technology Studies has a white paper out that lists the top schools. Not surprising it's a lot of the big names that come out on top.
1 Harvard University, Cambridge USA

2 University of Tokyo Japan

3 University of London UK
4 University of California, San Francisco USA

thnx mate.
"Biotechnology" is kind of vague. Any particular aspect of biotechnology?
molecular biology?
I would run that by Lysander. He was attempting that as a major when he was enrolled in UC Berkeley.
hey vish, ofcourse, MIT, and harvard, are superb good universities, but i must say it is unaffordable for the common man ( like me), unless u get excellent scholarship....in india, u can aim for St. Xaviers college...oe of my elder cousin sister, is studying there
Well if i can get 70% this sem, then my total would be 65% (i'm an avg student)
Then i can apply and get scholarship through Commonwealth Program.
well, my opinion is follow ur choice....its ur life decide it...u must b confsed with all these suggestions..u must b knowing how difficult it is to get chance in harvard and uc berkeley and all those big shots......so to go for a college, u must know ur ability the best......
harvard, MIT and all those are for the best of the best - it takes a lot of planning to get there. If I'm not mistaken, you have to take the GRE to get into an American university - the score you get in that test will reveal the range of colleges there which are most likely to accept you
Check with IISc Bangalore. They have some courses in Biotech
visit www.uohyd.ac.in for information regarding the course... Trust me you won't be disaapointed bro... We have students who come from pantnagar university too 🙂 anyways good luck!!! admissions in our university are closed for the next academic year!!!
