Nagaland is a state in Northeast India.It borders Burma(Myanmar)The capital is Kohima.It is one of the smallest states in India.

The region occupied the British then they converted the local Naga tribes to Chrisianity and the region was a part of Assam.After the independence of india in 1947 the region of Assam become a part of India,but the tribes started some riots against Inida,atacking civilians and the army.They wanted independence.But in 1960 there was a agreement that Nagaland becomes a new state and in 1963 it becomes a state.

The capital is Kohima,but the largest city is Dimapur.Other cities ara Zunheboto,Wokha and Mokokchung.

The population of Nageland is about 2 milion pepople.Dimapur has the largest population(about 370000 people).
The main religion is Christianity(about 80😵.It makes Nagaland one of thre states in India where Christianity is the main religion.Other religions are Hinduism and Islam.There are a lot of tribes living here.
The official language is English.
