1. You asked, if Polish people dont like USSR.
The answer is not, they do not like it. They have reasons for that.
2. You said, that Poland helped Hitler. Well, false. No, they did not. Mororus showed you something about Molotow- Ribbentrop pact, learn something about Polish resistance movement during whole WWII.
3. Whole era under USSR is not widely recognised as "golden era" by Poland, Czechoslovakia,Hungary. Please take it as fact. If you want, you can learn these people about opposite. But I warn you, they will laugh at you.
4. I think, that "independence" is not the theme of the day and it was not. Nations such Hungary in 1956, Czechoslavakia at 1968, Poland from seventies (whole Solidarity movement) where fighting for "freedom". The people wanted to be more free, not the state independent from USSR).
5. Maybe we can talk about fight for independence in Czechoslovakia, so Czechoslovakia had split between Czechs and Slovak and both states are now independent. This independence movement is widely recognized as most peaceful split up in the history.
6. If we are dependant on EU or not, that is question. But I can reassure you, that in question of freedom, we have much more of it than under the Soviet.
What I can see now, that Russian form of ideology, dreams about Soviet, Big Russia is simply not attractive for people of post soviet sattelites. Accept it. Both of us knows, that ideology is much more aesthetic matter than matter of facts. Russians ideology seems to us brutal, unhumanistic (single person is not value), without sense for detail, undemocratic, agressive, intolerant, more corrupted, more despotic, prefers quantity instead of quality. That is something, why people like more Ideas of EU. Which has far to be perfect, but believe or not for us are more attractive. Please accept it.
Oh, I almost forgot. Russians perfumes are terrible. 🙂
When you speak about soviet ideology I can totally agree with you.
But when you speak about contemporary "russian ideology" - what is it? There is no difference between our values and the values of other european countries. The only difference is that we do not want to be as dependant from the EU and the USA as some of our neigbours are. It's our right. American and european bureaucy are not satisfied with that. Thats why they are trying to depict Russia as brutal, unhumanistic, undemocratic, agressive, intolerant etc. That's just a part of global competition when ideology is just a pretext to accuse and harm the opponent

1. About Russian ideology, I have several notes. I simply dont feel competent to comment it in total.
a.) There is still politics of fear. Opponents of your president have to fear him. On opposite, he says, that everything what comes from abroad is full of USA ideology and we Russians should have fear of that.
b.) There is idea of Great Russia (Velikaja Rus). Nowadays, these types of nacionalistic ideas are almost dead. They belong to 19. century, to philosophy of Hegel.
c.) It is well known, that Russia supports nacionalistic parties in EU (For sure it is in Hungary and Slovakia. I think, that Polish nationalistic parties are economically supported by Russian secret police too-big paradox, but it helps to weak EU).
d.) The ideology is still imperialistic. You are afraid of EU, and EU is afraid of you. We see, what you do abroad.
e.) Imperialism+Nationalism= Putin said, that every Russian abroad will be defended by Russia. WTF? So, If Russian citizen will do something wrong in Czech republic town Karlove Vary, Czech police should contact Russian minister of foreign affairs for permission to act?
Simply, imperialistic and agressive policy is coming back, but the idea is not "communism", but "nationalism". Motto: "Where once was Russian foot, that is Russia."
2. EU and USA are different things. If someone in EU is satellite of USA then it is United Kingdom. See, how UK acts in EU parlament. UK f.e. tried to boycot €, UK was thinking to abandon EU at all. We can say, that UK systematically "sabotage" unification of EU (f.e.go on youtube and write "Nigel Farage"). But everybody knows it and EU has it own (eventhough maybe weak) policy. USA understand that, Russians less.
3. a.) Whole world, we all are dependant on each other. USA on China, EU on Russian gas, Russia on EU cars. We call it global world. Independence is illusion and leads in isolation.
b.) Russia is superpower which can terminate world. Are you afraid of dependancy?
