Minister of Finance: 1st Address
Reserve Bank of Australia
Greetings citizens of Australia.
Cottus Arci here, settling in to my new role as eAustralian Minister of Finance. From now on, you can all call me the "Grand MoF" 😛
In intensive discussions with President Zaney over the past few months, it became quite clear that my understanding of the financial/economic system points to the fact that I'm best suited in this role. We've bounced many ideas off each other and this the final product;
National Budget
The Minister of Finance will liase with the Cabinet Ministers who will request funds and present plans for spending, resulting in an overall budget for each month.
Monetary Market
After only a few days as a bi-region Nation, the MM is beginning to settle somewhat. The National Bank of Australia will regulate the market to ensure Australians are given a fair go when they wish to transfer AUD to GOLD and vice-versa. The following exchange rates will be enforced to ensure the AUD's stability;
1 GOLD = 50 AUD
1 AUD = 0.022 GOLD (45.45 AUD = 1 GOLD)
The Wage Table
The Wage Table ensures both companies & consumers have a good idea on what wages should be in Australia.
Skill Wage
1.00 $1.00
1.50 $1.85
2.00 $2.70
2.50 $3.55
3.00 $4.40
3.50 $5.25
4.00 $6.10
4.50 $6.95
5.00 $7.80
5.50 $8.65
6.00 $9.50
6.50 $10.35
7.00 $11.20
7.50 $12.05
8.00 $12.90
8.50 $13.75
9.00 $14.60
9.50 $15.45
10.00 $16.30
The RRP System
The Recommended Retail Price System ensures both companies & consumers have a good idea on how much items should be valued at.
The RRP is not to be taken too literally at this stage, as prices will no doubt be higher than RRP due to the unworkable 5 AUD minimum wage.
But here it is, nonetheless.

Hip hip hooray for the new "Grand MoF"
May he allow us to live long and prosper!
Nicely done, looks like zaney chose wisely.
A suggestion: Isnt the basic wages different depending on the industry you work in? For example: RM usually pays more than Manufacturing.
If not, i think i might be being exploited a lil 😛
Perhaps Unions should be developed to ensure this doesnt happen?
Oh also.. in b4 the "AP" quotes your whole article in its "headlining news" >.>
Good stuff. Congrats on the appointment. Our economy is in good hands.
Remember these are more like "guidelines" than actual rules. The wages are basically a minimum wage system tailored to the worker's skill.
Or at least, that's what I think this is.
Here's a good thing - Q1 food is way more expensive than in other countries, but Q5 is around half price!
I know these are just guidelines, but the only company offering Q5 food (True Blue Tucker) has it at $7.50
hah. Tarkin the second
wellness too needs to be taken into account
Good luck.
Hope you do all the right things.
Some companies are simply here to make a quick buck, and sadly there's nothing we can do to stop them (however, V1 does mean Judges and the Judicial System are coming!).
With more companies popping up, these companies will simply be forced into line.
However, some companies are hiring low skilled workers and are being forced to raise their prices. This sadly is a by-product of the evil 5 AUD minimum wage, which will soon pass.
