07th Production Presents It's Newest Game:
Kankokujin no Naku Koro ni - WHEN THEY CRY 5

In the recent days, we've seen the 'Righteous Nation' philosophy thrown into the dustbin of history in favor of attacking a nation we've come to term a 'failed state'. As such, 07th Production, a notable Japanese visual/sound novel studio has decided to come forward with their latest project: 'Kankokujin no Naku Koro ni', the fifth project in their infamous 'WHEN THEY CRY' series. Let's take a look into their newest production in it's 'work-in-progress' stage.

EPISODE I - THE BEGINNING

The President of eJapan

On Day 898, the official declaration of war against the anarchistic state of South Korea was put into official effect. This was after a long period of debate on the matter, which was eventually settled by the overwhelming support from the Fridges of Hell. With the passing of this war declaration the era of the 'Righteous Nation' was abandoned and it was made official that the Glorious Empire of eJapan would soon be sending it's brave young soldiers 'over there'.

Over there, over there,
Send the word, send the word over there
That the Japanese are coming, the Japanese are coming
The drums rum-tumming everywhere.
So prepare, say a prayer,
Send the word, send the word to beware -
We'll be over, we're coming over,
And we won't come back till it's over, over there

After this declaration was sounded, it was made clear that the opposition would be greater than initially expected after eAustria and the Theocrats voiced their support for the young and anarchistic state. Whether or not the forces of these groups would appear on the battlefield was another question entirely.

EPISODE II - THE GUNS OF SPRING

As the very beginning of Day 899 came about, the first attacks against the nation of South Korea were launched by the Japanese Imperial Forces in the region of Gyeongsangbuk-do. For the first 15 hours since the initial engagement, no actual resistance from the South Koreans and their supporters appeared to battle our forces. However, this changed at roughly 15h30m into the battle. South Korean forces and their supporters began to vigorously fight back, tanking there way high into the green and far over the initial wall. Near the very end of the battle, the Japanese forces finally managed to get past the South Korean resistance and drop the wall back into the red.

In the battle, however, only one actual Japanese 'tank' showed up, and it took until the very end for Japanese forces to emerge victorious from the battle. The victory was something to both be uneasy and happy about. The emergance of a resistance war in Jeju launched by Alfagrem only furthered to stem the feelings of irritation.

EPISODE III - PRIMO VICTORIA

With the battle for Gyeongsangbuk-do over and the RW in Jeju now the main concern of the Japanese state, the South Koreans have been given an opportunity to re-group, stock up on cash/gold, and bring their new MPP with Germany into effect.

Fighting in Jeju proved minimal except three people who did over 1,000 damage. Watching the battle, many would expect several more challengers of merit to appear. Besides this, the Japanese forces were able to prove victorious against the possibility of losing Jeju (by now an integral part of the nation) and could focus on re-grouping their forces and putting forward better planning for the next attack after the lessons learned during the initial invasion. Only a matter of time will tell how this story will continue to unfold. Day 900 remains a day in which lessons have been learned, and a uncertain future looms in the balance.
