Day 2,351, 08:40 Published in India Croatia by Anubis.3

Hello everyone!

We are awfully sorry for the long gap between our newspaper’s inauguration and the publishing of our first articles. But, we’re back and here to stay!

Today, the topic of interest is geopolitics – a lot of things of importance have happened in recent times. Thanks are due to Ashwamedh for helping to substantiate the facts in this article

The above image, as many of you know is a map of eIndia. Regions in pink belong to India, with the encircling blue and golden-yellow regions being owned by Croatia and China respectively.

Certainly, this doesn’t make for a pretty picture for any newbie, used to hearing claims of India becoming a superpower. But, this is another world, and things are actually looking up. When we started this paper, India didn’t own any region – the western coast was taken by Pakistan, with the rest being with Croatia.

Since then, Pakistan has been pushed back to a narrow strip of land in the north-west.

(Yellow is representative of Pakistan, with the neighboring pink belonging to Turkey)

Pakistan has been largely silent in the region, with their players engaged in airstrikes – the most recent one being on Belgium.

A week or so ago, Antwerp was liberated by the Belgians, concluding the invasion. Many observers have criticized Pakistan’s airstrikes as unwise, for Pakistan is a relatively small country and cannot afford to waste huge sums of money on attacks with uncertain outcomes.

Moving back to India, after Pakistan was removed from the picture, an old nemesis – Thailand stepped in; after a comparatively more successful airstrike, they took as many as three southern regions. It took around a month for the Thais to be evicted.

Thailand, for unknown reasons counts India as its’ bitterest enemy – back here, in many quarters, the feeling is mutual. A short while after being evicted from Indian lands, the Thais are back, this time with an "Asian defensive pact"

It’s uncertain what the full impact of this “Defensive pact” will be. For one, China and Croatia are part of opposing alliances (namely Asteria and Sirius), and tensions have been building up between both sides; this law which was passed a week ago only reinforces the fact

On the other hand, as Ashwamedh notes, China has no reason or inclination to attack India. As a country, China doesn’t seek to become a superpower (yet), but serves as a “stronghold of players” for doing business. Presently, China has 10/10 bonuses, meaning that taking more regions will not make a difference to resource production. Furthermore, taxation income from Indian regions is negligible and not worth it to start a major war against Croatia and her allies (including the US).

(The graph shows Croatian tax revenues – the most Croatia got from 13 Indian regions was 571cc. For a comparsion, they got 8599 cc from Serbia during the same day)

More interestingly, the Chinese president, Atracurium has never shown any aggressive tendencies against India. As a special gesture, he has returned all the tax revenues collected from occupied Indian regions to the government.

So, on the whole, the only major threats are Pakistan and Thailand. Even these challenges have largely been offset, with Croatia signing a NAP with India. The full terms of this agreement, as stated by our president, Mr.Calvin are laid out in this article –

This agreement provides a lot of things – India will no longer be at risk of being a “wiped state” with a government in exile, we will now have a good-sized congress, adequate resources, some income. The Indo-Croatian relationship has gone through many phases with several misunderstandings in between. But, with time, we have come to understand each other well and the result is stability in the region, which will serve India well in the future.
