I remember taking my daschund swimming when she was young. She trusted me so was no problem when I picked her up and waded into the lake. At waist deep I noticed she appeared nervous. At chest deep she was wildly dog paddling. When I let go I suddenly had a dog hat. :/ No problem with baths.
