As a new player, i was not amused to find out that there is a party of communists in our nice country. And a big one too!
It is all known that the ideology of communism is proofed very dangerous. In real world communsm killed millions of people.

Offcourse i understand that the Erepublican communists will be peacefull people (are they?) but i will ask them when the use such a terrible policial name?

Maybe you should come and join us, and learn something about us. Or you could ask other people about the PCP's comitment to eUK. The communist party has been here long enough and has done a lot of good. It has helped out many new citizen's and run's very good and effective commune's.

News for you: there has never been a truly Communist state. Every so-called Communist government has failed to actually achieve proper Communism. The Communist ideology, like any political ideology, must be judged only by its merits.

"Some bad people were Communists. Therefore Communism is evil". That's a logical fallacy - the fallacy of association.

BTW, I'm no Communist. I just don't like seeing this kind of misunderstanding.

I think perhaps your view of communism may be twisted by the negative sentiment towards it in capitalist countries. We are peaceful people. I think it's important to note that capitalism has also resulted in millions of deaths.

This kind of sentiment was drilled by the US Media into hysteria, whilst at the same time the CIA put concrete powder in milk being delivered to Cuban Schools, They aided Pinochet and Killed the Democratically Elected Allende and far worse.

But we're not a real world party, we are not totalitarian and there is no way we can or would want to kill people in this game. We bring the ideals and belief of equality to this 'New World' in hopes of helping the eUK and avg Player.

In relation to our party; We do obviously have some far left leaning members, but we also have a lot of other political leanings, the PCP is aimed at eRepublik and what we call eCommunism. Many of us have a distrust of apparent 'vanguards' and real life 'communist' regimes.

We used to have an Anarchist tendency within the party, but it seems they've mostly gone inactive. We're incredibly democratic and open to any member getting involved.

We're 1 of the oldest parties here!

The purest form of eCommunism would be democracy at its best. Marx felt that the Capitalist system would inevitably be overthrown as proletarianisation created an ever greater divide between the Proletariat and the Bourgeoisie and that the only way this would happen would be through violent revolution. What he didn't bank on was the ability of Capitalism to sustain a growing Middle-class (so far!), just enough to keep people in hope. Personally I think new technologies will make Communism viable
