Cluster-Bombed Economics: A Look And Advice

So yeah, although the admins have attempted to silence my writing due to the new updates, I've found ways to keep writing. Censorship is cowardly, and you can't beat me with it! :{D

Anyways, I'll move on here to examine the cluster-bombed carcass of what used to be the eAmerican economy. As we've all seen today, the biggest shouting spree has gone off about the new 'improvements' that the admins utilized today. I believe the increases in shouts now that the admins locked us citizen's out of the forums and newspapers has bothered quite a few people (myself included!).

Firstly, we have the removal of the working skill as a whole, much to older players' dismay. This makes the job market and production in the economy a much more level plane to play, but it has its complications. Now that everyone is the same productivity, we are seeing a massive overproduction of Food, and Food Raw Materials, leading to diving prices, and rising prices for weapons.

Food Raw Materials have fallen from $0.18 USD/Unit to $0.14 USD/Unit, a 33% loss in value, overnight. Q1 Food as of yesterday night cost about $0.51 USD/Food. Today we see the price at $0.24 USD/Food, a 53% depreciation in value, overnight.

This will have heavy effects on other parts of the economy, that will start to intensify in the next few days, because food runs the economy.

Secondly, we see an interesting change, the rising price of Weapons and Weapon Raw Material. A rising price, which seems unusual at first, is caused by the way production changed for Weapons, more Weapons are produced by the average citizen, causing a higher demand for Weapon Raw Material, leading to more expensive materials and goods.

Q5 Weapons went from $15.30 USD/Weapon to $19.90 USD/Weapon over this last day, a 24% increase in value, and Weapon Raw Materials went from $0.18 USD/Unit to $0.21 USD/Unit today, a 15% increase in value.

This can also be attributed to the large number of energy bars (Crack, lube, call it what you will) now in circulation, used to build some serious battlefield damage today, meaning a larger increase in demand than we already experienced.

This will undoubtedly have a huge effect on how much you get paid for your work, now. Expect wages to level out over the next week or two, and this will favor newer players, but shouldn't heavily effect older ones (except you are now getting paid as much as a day one guy). Additionally, the new 'Town Hall' feature will effect the economy, due to an increase in most tanks' ability to eat food in a day, leading to a slower fall for the price of food.
