Cilician Bowl 12th. -13th. century AD. Gilded Silver. - Hermitage Museum.

Found in Vilgort Russia in the Urals region, trade mark Armenian reliefs of Eagles, and Lions alongside an Armenian King (Not specified which Cilician King, possibly Leo). At the end of the 11th century, an Armenian State of Cilicia was established in the southeastern part of the Mediterranean. It existed for around three centuries. Its geographic situation determined the unique and inimitable nature of the country's art.

Alongside miniatures, Cilician art is represented by monuments of silversmiths: a chalice known as the Vilgort Chalice (found in 1925 in the village of Vilgort in the Urals region). This signifies that Armenian merchants, and officials were trading, as well as knotting ties with the Kievan Rus during the middle ages.
