Becoming the Power No-One believed us to be ! - Part 3

Who would have thought that eBelgium still experienced Strikes. At first I thought that they were cheering our departure, it is not always that eBelgium receives such important guests but I did not see any portraits or slogans that would hail us.

This was something that was unusual to us, as we had never experienced anything in the Grand Duchy, a place that was voted the Most Amazing Place to Live by the The Luxembourg Post.

Anyway, we stayed in Brussels until the Strike had been over and then took our private train back home (They had been stuck at the border due to the Strike, what a pity).

Nevertheless, we had a pleasant voyage home, even stopping midway so that we could take some pictures and for our private painter to draw something nice.

We used the time to attend some business and inform ourselves on the state of affairs of the Grand-Duchy. The adviser who had told us to use Apple Maps had taken over as new Grand-Duke. That information made me burst into laughter for at least 5 minutes. After that, it took me 20 minutes to calm down.

"But sir, this is not a joke. We need to do something."

"I am well aware that this is not a joke, but it is still funny as hell. Now, I'm sure there are far more important topics to talk about, so let us focus on these instead, shall we?"

After a few hours, we finally reached our destination, home.

I quickly inspected the whole building, to see if everything was perfectly fine and proceeded to the dining room. Finally, we could enjoy the meals of Lamartine, our 'chef de cuisine', it had been more then 1 year since I had eaten some of his food and thus I was very pleased when he brought us plate after plate of most delicious food.

After a short walk through the gardens, I headed back in, for a meeting with the Generals of the Army. The well-being of the army is of the highest priority. What followed was an inspection of the nearby garrison and the Royal Guard. I pitched some further improvements and went to bed, not before visiting the chicks. I needed some precious sleep, because tomorrow, we had to deal with serious business.

To Continue!

Author's Note: We would like to thank our reader for their generous donations. Lamartine was very happy to use that money to buy more ingredients. As the Grand Duke of the people, I can say that the people were well fed.
