a Bio and an (unashamed) plug for the ACP

Day 2,664, 07:22 Published in Australia Chile by Springthief

We've been taken over by a MU with no ties to any eCountry we're at war with.

We've given our land to an ally (ePeru) and now don't have any way of forming a senate for ourselves.

If only we were strong enough to stand on our own two feet and fight for our own territory, then we wouldn't be in this mess.

blah blah blah.

This is all that has been dominating our newsfeeds this week. I know it sucks, and I wish it never happened as well. But guess what? It did. No, we aren't strong enough to fight back a determined attack, even with the help of our allies, and yes, at the moment, we are f***ed, but we've been in worse positions.

Like Ilene Dover, I was around for the eIndo PTO in V1. In fact, that (and RL bending me over and giving me a big stiff one) was what forced me to quit. But now I'm here. I was here when FYROM were unnecessarily antagonistic to us, holding our lands while eGreece (bless their hearts) took FYROM's homelands. I was here to see the day that eAustralia lost it's momentum to greatness and fell to infighting and bickering like schoolchildren. I was here to see us finally regain territories and be able to elect our own senate, filled with players that (hopefully) have eAustralia's best interest at heart.

I was a member of the ADP. I was recruited by Hugh himself, and with his tutelage I became a senator for two terms. In my second term, after I had made a single, but admittedly grievous error, to which I 'fessed up to, I was harangued and even branded a multi. Due to the fact that this is a game, and the stress of being harassed online, and the fact that I already have a mental illness (bipolar with anxiety, not that you were asking), I thought it best to give eRep a rest for a while.

Then RustyD sent me an ingame message, asking why someone would just up and quit like I did. So I told him, and the fact that someone actually took the time to reach out to me and ask, not order, not demand, not plead that I come back, but want to know why I left in the first place, brought me back into the game. And I love it.

Rusty has now (re)formed the Australian Communist Party. Due to the face that he felt that it was a good idea to ask an e😜layer why they left, instead of ignoring them or demanding that they log on to vote, I decided to join him. We've got some good ideas for the party, and I hope that if you join, you could share your ideas with us.

I know. Wall of text. Booze will do that to me.
