NE to Romania!

Day 2,311, 04:50 Published in Hungary Hungary by NightwatcherHUN

Hey folks!

This is a story about how Hungary ended up in the same alliance with Romania, and why we left that alliance so soon.
In this game to lead a nation in any position such us MoD, MoFA, VP, President etc. its very time consuming. Probably it's the hardest thing, to manage your time and be able to live two lives. Many players can't do that, or they can but it could effect your RL in a bad way. Unfinished homework if you are in school, unfinished job if you're working, or time away from your friends and family.

I believe for that reason Hungary has a major problem in leadership. There's not enough active players, who have time and desire to lead our nation.
For the past year it's almost the same players filling the government positions, which wouldn't be a problem an it's own, we should be grateful that we have a few players who care, who will sacrifice extra RL time for our virtual nation and it's success.

However the problem is, that these players governing our country in the wrong direction.
They only know the numbers, and they don't understand that the players feelings has a big role in this game, which motivates us.
They think that they can feed us with bs for months and months and make us believe that this is just a game no big deal to be in the same team with Romania.

Can anyone see Greece fighting for Macedonia?

Can anyone see Croatia fight for Serbia?
Or the other way around?

Why our government thinks it is ok to put Romania and Hungary in the same alliance?

Their dream is a strong Balkan alliance, which unbeatable.
But there is a few problems with this dream alliance.
First of all this alliance missing a member which is Croatia.
Yes, Croatia was planed into this alliance but Croatian leadership and nation strong and won't even think about fighting together with Serbia in one alliance.
The other problem is between Romania and Hungary.
The players of these two nations also natural enemies to each other RL and in this game for the first years.

Hungary and Romania were fighting each other restless for years, we deleted them, they deleted us, and it was always a though and exiting fight between us because we disliked each other, so we had the motivation and also the two countries nearly the same strength so each and every battle was a challenge.
To me, and to the majority of Hungarian and Romanian players.
But for some players it became boring, some players were looking for something else to do in this game, which I understand don't you?
Yeah, that's fine.

We signed several NAPs but we broke them all each side. Wonder why? 🙂
Perhaps that's why came the idea from our great Hungarian politicians to have the 'perfect' NAP between Hungary and Romania.

At the same time the admins started a poll about Kosovo, where Romanians votes in Serbians favor. That brought them closer to each other in eRepublik. Note that Romania and Serbia are friend in RL.

Serbia wanted an MPP with Romania for quite some time, but they respected our friendship. Serbians knew that Hungary wont take it lightly, it could cause the end of friendship between Serbia and Hungary.

Back to the point, our Hungarian government worked out a plan how they could stop the endless war, and braking NAPs between Romania and Hungary and they told Serbians go right ahead, propose that MPP with Romania we will make sure we find the right president who will approve it, and Hungarians won't be that mad at you.
Probably the idea of this great Balkan alliance happened this time, or who knows maybe even sooner.

So that's what happened, the Hungarian government and the president at the time (charlie50) allowed Serbia and Romania to have MPP.
The plan partly worked, but most Hungarians didn't like the idea, and the tension between Romanians and Hungarians remained, this time we really can't go war with Romania because we would loose Serbian MPP right away, and we can't hit against them because it was like helping the opposite alliance, and because of that a lots of Hungarians and Romanians were sort of "forced to" stopped hitting against each other.
Of coarse the ad times we would do it anyways, mostly when it hurts the most.
Most recently, Chile and Poland NE us, then what Romania does? Signs a NAP with Bulgaria, which doesn't include Hungary, giving Bulgaria free way to attack Hungary.

The sad situation is, that in the past year Hungary didn't have an active opposition that could prevent all this from happening.

When TWO alliance was forming, and we also started having MPPs with exEDEN countries like Greece, and Argentina.
Hungarians first really didn't like this change, we lost of friends we lost Indonesia, Macedonia and Chile, and Bulgaria.
Most of us understand that this is just a game, alliances come and go, friends may come and go, but majority of Hungarians never got used to having Romania on the same side. This problem was always there but it was swept under the rug.

In the TWO alliance it didn't matter that much, TWO was strong we were successful, we didn't depend on each other, we weren't even in the same alliance. Romania was only proTWO country.

I was a president near to the end of TWO, and I truly wanted to change the direction Hungary was drifting, but I couldn't. I wanted to go with Spoland but after a few meetings with polish and Bulgarian officials I changed my mind. Hungary was in trouble at the time, Ukraine was pain in the but as always 🙂 and Serbian officials and Serbian players were so helpful, that I felt home with them, I felt SERHUN is strong. I can't slap them in the face, and leave them. I couldn't.

Now TWO alliance broke up too, but Hungary had a great problem where to go.
It was clear that we Hungarians wanted to stay with our best friends Serbia, I wanted to stay with Serbia as well, but we really didn't want Romania in the same alliance with us.
But we had no choice. I mean we did have a choice, to go with Spoland but SERHUN is strong. Truly Strong.

Half hearted but we did choose Asteria, with a condition: no MPP with Romania
Our leaders did promise MPP between Hungary and Romania sooner or later. Big mistake, and lies!

Our politicians were neglected to see, that you can't build an alliance strictly only on damage hood.
The members of the alliance must have some kind of sympathy towards each other, but Hungary and Romania have tension and distrust between each other.

What kind of alliance is that?
Now was it worth it?
Was it worth it to let your best friend become friends with your natural enemy?

I do understand that endless war between Hungary and Romania needed to end for a while, for a change but not like this.
Our government should of work on NAPs that hard to break, but not by trying to make friends with the enemy.

That was a mistake, and unfortunately we didn't have an active opposition in power that could stop us from drifting in the wrong direction.

My NE to Romania is a message to Romania, we don't want to be friends, and a message to our government to stop leading us in the wrong direction, and stop lying to our allies because there will be no MPP between Romania and Hungary.

It's either war with Romania or neutrality so we can go on about our businesses, but no friendship, no place for us to be in one alliance.

The Hungarian government and their puppets may try to ignore this, but they can't ignore the destiny between Romania and Hungary!

Hungarians fight against Romania, and Romanians fight against Hungary till this day, and it won't stop, I won't stop!

Romania just signed a NAP with Bulgaria to stab us Hungarians in the back, and this is the nation WE want to Allie with?

We are not going back to Asteria!

In the respect of our friends of Serbia we won't switch sides, but everyone better acknowledge that we won't sign MPP with Romania and if it will somehow pass it won't solve anything because most of us won't fight for each other so it's useless!

Thank you for taking the time to read my article.
Sincerely,
