[TB4CP] October Agenda

Day 4,699, 23:19 Published in USA USA by Tyler Bubblar

“But Mouse, you are not alone,
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best-laid schemes of mice and men
Go oft awry,
And leave us nothing but grief and pain,
For promised joy!”
-Robert Burns

When it comes to being President only one thing is certain. Uncertainty. Inevitably something unexpected and major will occur. When these moments happen you have a choice. You can rise to the moment, or you can shrink from it. Usually however, if you choose to shrink from it your Presidency is effectively over. The inverse side of that is if you rise to the occasion and make the hard choices your decisions will not be universally loved.

Plans rarely go exactly as they are envisioned when laid out. However, a common purpose is vital for establishing a coherent direction for an Administration. This particular month we will be dusting off plans for events such as the National Scavenger Hunt that did not quite come to fruition during my last tenure May through July. A lot of time, work, and thought went into them and it is my hope that they will be well received.

I have done this more than a few times over the years. October 5th will mark the 12th time I have been on the ballot for Country President election day. My values, approach, and delivery have probably refined over time, but at the core remain the same. I will be assembling a talented group of individuals without regard to their Party affiliation. I will then grant virtual autonomy to these individuals to carry forward their respective visions for said Departments. We will then through the various Executive media channels available to us tout their successes. I am a delegative President. I place my trust and support in my people and do everything I can to help them succeed. This approach has in my view worked very well.

The ultimate goal on the domestic front is to keep churning out articles, engage the community, be informative on what we’re working on, and keep the Interior programs humming along. A lot of progress has been made in this area. I intend to keep things moving in a positive direction.

In terms of Foreign Affairs it is my intent to continue strengthening ties with Asteria. With the goal of eventually joining Asteria. As I have said Asteria is who and what we hoped they would be. Not much was said about it in the immediate aftermath, but I’ve never seen a mass invasion of the eUSA be repelled so quickly. The invasions of 2018 and 2013 dragged on for months. In 2009 we were whittled down to the fortress state of Florida before we came roaring back and eventually pushed PEACE out of our cores. Of the 4 large scale invasions I’ve been around for this was by far the most successful outcome. I know not everyone agrees with what was done, but the results in my view speak for themselves. I see no reason not to continue on our current FA course.

In terms of the Resource Wars my intent is to allow Yui to run that show. Everything I have read on the upcoming event points to it being mechanically similar to the last version. There will of course be some new wrinkles. Flight was not a thing 4 years ago and limiting each nation to 10 total resources will be different. However, Yui and his team crushed it previously and preparations are already well underway to do so again. My role in this will be to provide Yui with whatever support he needs, write about the progress made, and most importantly not get in the way.

As always I thank you for taking the time to read. I will be publishing another campaign article this weekend. Until then I ask that you consider voting Tyler Bubblar for President on October 5th 2020.
