[Taoiseach] Third Update

Citizens of the Republic,

Apologies for the delay in this update but the past few days have been busy for me with numerous things coming up. I was originally planning on writing this article last night but was too exhausted to really be bothered. Anyway, here is a summary of events.

[RETURN OF MAYO]

Argentina have agreed to return to us the region of Mayo. This was done in coordination with Canada who wish to engage in a Training War with us. I have happily agreed and within the next 24 hours you should see an attack on Canadian soil. We will be winning this first battle so be prepared to land.

The rest of our regions will be returned to us early next month I believe so with patience and diplomacy we will have our 6 regions liberated and under the tricolour. All without wasting whatever funds we have left and not losing our spirit or pride.

[NEW CONSTITUTION]

With the introduction of the Premier we needed rules on how our nation was to function and with only one person able to push the buttons, these rules are now easier to administrate. I have always been opposed to Constitutions as I felt they limited the game but in it's current state, I think we need law, we need order and we need to give it that extra kick to enhance our gameplay (and now roleplay).

One of my aims this month was to have a Constitution written up. And we now have one thanks to the good work of MooMooHead and the Constitution Committee.

I know it isn't flawless but over the coming weeks we can review these flaws, pinpoint them and close them up.

There is always loopholes in everything if you look hard enough. Ectasy tablets were legal for a day in Ireland in real life due to a loophole. Now that is a proper phuck-up.

[DÁIL CRISIS]

The past few days has seen last months Dáil turn into a verbal bloodbath with is a disappointing way to end a term.

I have messaged individuals involved in abuse and such and have asked them to reduce the manner of their tone and refrain from inciting so much hatred. Debate and argument is good and can be healthy but the anarchic scenes witnessed is not productive and will hold us back.

An impeachment was also proposed due to me not removing Releasethe Krakken as my Minister of Defence. I refuse to fire him and will stand by him as he has worked hard this month and has been more active than many Ministers before him and this I think is what we should focus on rather than his rambles which we all know him for.

Remember, a lot of people said lets give him a chance to be Country President. Now most of those people aren't enjoying him as a Minister of Defence.



[NEW DÁIL]

Congress elections saw ten candidates be elected to congress. I felt this number was too low and that we rightfully should have had 20 following the liberation of Mayo so each Party President was asked to appoint additional congress members reflective of the vote. This decision was welcomed by all Party Presidents and will see the number of sitting members reach 20.

Omega Eireann - 6 Seats
Irish Freedom Party - 4 Seats
Eire Aonair - 2 Seats
Irish Liberal Democrats - 2 Seats
