Good Afternoon eRepublikans,

Recently Serbia has reached a military agreement with Hungary, FYROM and Bulgaria. Anybody with experience in foreign affairs knows that these agreements do not take place overnight. These agreements are months in the making and are a culmination of talks that have been taking place behind Asteria’s back for months now.

In addition to this agreement, and in an article today, Serbia has stated they will reject conflicting MPP’s within Asteria. The question arises, if Serbia will reject conflicting MPP’s how can they have a military agreement with three countries that are openly hostile towards Asteria?

Bulgaria.

Serbia has a big problem with Turkey mainly due to "83%". Some of you might not know what this number represents so I'll explain it quickly. When the region of Kosovo was first introduced into the game all the players voted whether it should be a region of Serbia or an independent country. 83% of Turkey voted that Kosovo should be an independent country.

Because of this Serbia has declared multiple times that Turkey is and will forever remain an enemy of theirs. From the recent Serbian-Turkish war we saw that this animosity towards Turkey still exists.

Now what does this 83% have to do with Bulgaria and Serbia?

Well, it's quite simple. Serbia hates Turkey because 83% voted for an independent Kosovo. Can you guess what percentage of Bulgaria voted for an independent Kosovo?

Here let me help you a little. These are the official election results.

Yup. 83% of Bulgaria voted for an independent Kosovo yet Bulgaria is now once again a Serbian friend.

If Turkey is your eternal enemy because they voted 83% then shouldn't Bulgaria be too? Or is Bulgaria your friend since you have borders with them and want to secure your bonuses?

Also, lets check out the other Asteria countries.

Brazil - 79% for Kosovo independence
Portugal - 79% for Kosovo independence
China - 78% for Kosovo independence
Argentina - 77% for Kosovo independence

From this we can see that :
- if you vote between 75% and 80% for Kosovo independence you are a close ally of Serbia and a member of Asteria
- if you vote 83% for Kosovo independence you are Serbia's most hated and eternal enemy, like Turkey
- if you vote 83% for Kosovo independence and have borders with Serbia then you can have a special military agreement.. like Bulgaria.

FYR

Serbia made an agreement with FYROM yet how do they explain befriending FYROM when both Argentina and Brazil had a war with FYROM this past month? Aren’t Brazil and Argentina in Asteria or do they just not matter to Serbia?

HUNGARY

Serbia wants to reject “conflicting MPP’s within Asteria” but is constantly friendly with Hungary, even making this special treaty with them. Do they not take into account the provocative stance Hungary has taken so many times in the past against Romania? I know that no NE law has passed but how many times have they proposed one towards Romania? 20 times? more? Is this not a hostile act?

I have seen how Romania has done everything humanly possible to have a friendly relationship with Hungary and how Hungary has always replied with provocation. I have always wondered when will Asteria back its member?

CONCLUSION

A few months ago Hungary made an Airstrike to Saudi Arabia to block Greek bonuses and cause problems to Greece. After a long time Hungary was dislodged and just last month Greece regained all her bonuses. Now Greece has airstriked Germany, potentially causing issues for Hungarian bonuses. Hungary will not openly NE Greece, just like they haven’t openly NE’d Romania.

Serbia has immediately come to defend Hungary. They have created a pact with Hungary, FYROM and Bulgaria in order to appease Hungary and counter Greece by befriending all of Greece’s enemies. However by creating this pact with these countries Serbia is disregarding the fact that FYROM, Bulgaria and Hungary are openly hostile towards other Asteria members.

It seems that Serbia has chosen Hungary above all other Asteria members, and now I must admit that in the end I was wrong, SERHUN is eternal.

And because of this Asteria is not.
