[serious] chew chew shoe I am dissapoint
mwcerberus
Dear eUK,
I have been very unsatisfied with the communication skills or our CP Chewchewshoe and this has left me in the dark about many topics I have done some investigating and i'd like to share what i found with you guys
As the last CP I knows things that weren’t public knowledge for instance in the last days of my term I was approached by the USA.
They wanted to inform me a deal they were making with Ireland where they (the USA) were to pay Ireland 90k/month rental for 2 irish regions. They also wanted to assure me that them taking these regions was in no way them trying to create a bridge to the UK and that they didn’t want to attack us. They offered 1 of 3 things either
1 They would add a clause into irish-USA deal where USA cannot attack UK
2 They would create a separate nap with UK-USA agreeing not to attack each other
3. They would add a no attacking UK clause to the PL-ES-USA nap (although this one was rather inconvenient to both UK and USA as well as slightly to PL and ES)
The first option would not involve UK signing anything i therefore choose this. When i passed over to chewchew i told him of this and basically said there’s nothing he needed to do regarding this except let this happen.
I was therefore surprised by this
the google doc is a 3 way nap between USA-UK-IRE
This is outright lying to congress and it would seem he has manipulated them into signing a deal protecting Ireland a deal which we didn’t have to sign using the threat of an invasion from the USA, a threat which doesn’t exist (also tell the public when you sign something like this)
This is a quote from one of chewies manifestoes
Chewie has released 1 article
Chewie has posted twice on the forum
In the 19 days since he was elected
Also don’t let the 2 whole forum posts fool you only 1 was an update, the other was well number 2 here, his last before that is also displayed
and chatting with congress isn’t much better.
If chew is impeached then it will be a deserved impeachment, if he is not then he has dodged a bullet. Reading chewies manifestoes is a sea of broken promises, if chew is not impeached he needs to start communicating with the public and with congress and ticking off broken promises, if not impeached he still has time to turn this around (well kinda the ireland deal thing is SO dodgy it’s like he acted against eUK)

actually please do read the bit about ireland it’s important ^
chewie’s manifestos are littered with broken promises see for yourself http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/consilio-et-animis-domestic-policies-2347297/1/20

Lol... That's somewhat true.
I agree that it's holiday time and as far as I understood Chewie had some RL issues but still, he was/is way to reserved in his declarations. It normally wouldn't have been a problem for me (since lots of CPs decide to do stuff behind the closed doors) but since he declared that he wishes transparency, I find this a problem.
Anyway, Merry Christmas to you all!!!

The thing is real life issues are obviously understandable and no one will resent someone for having them...but we still need to displace a CP that can't be online to do the basics if the alternative can.
This looks bad, shame we have no suitable CP replacement. Maybe next time run someone sensible so we have an insurance policy against things like this?
However I am wary of this being true as TUP tried something like this last Christmas - making up things to bring down the government on Christmas Day when a response won't come quickly. Some of the information in below comments seems to suggest this.
"Holiday Time" doesn't start on the 5th. There is no excuse for this level of activity. If you can't log in to press a single button at the right time then just don't run for CP. Simple as, you are letting the country down.
This term has been awful and a lot of players have banded together to try and help the eUK through the Gov's incompetence.
1 article in 19 days along with 1 forum post says it all really. That kind of activity can't be defended.
worst of all, no mspaint drawings
Impeach - or is Congress as gutless as it usually is?
Manifest of Chewie was quite good, sadly his activity and actions are far below that level.
Voted.
That stuff about the NAP is just indefensible. Looks like Congress has a rather important decision to make.
And also... there was a NAP?
yer i was surprised too???
The eUK deserves to be under perma-wipe because of things such as this. It's only the odd old fag who knows a few others that prevent it regularly occurring.
#VoteHorice
Shocking!

tbqh, I have nothing against the revised treaty...It keeps Ireland out of our hair while we smack France around
Not using the forums shouldn't be an Impeachable offence as it can all be done through IRC and PM's anyway. Personally I couldn't be arsed to bother with the eUK forums anyway...inactivity is an Impeachable offence though.
I think the USA approached you with an outline of an intended deal.
The final deal between USA&Ireland included an insurance policy for Ireland.
The NAP between UK&Ireland provides UK with insurance against Ireland's insurance.
I'd have thought everyone would be happy?
it's not the fact we napped with you, it's the fact he lied saying the original deal was bad for us and he changed things to favor you over us
with the PL-ES-USA deal in place USA were never going to attack us
so scaring congress with this possibility is wrong
I can tell you he didn't lie about changes. We did ask for more narrow conditions at the beginning of the negotiations. Chew made it clear the eUK government could not maintain the original terms. The eUK saw it as too restrictive. He did not change anything to favor us, he got the eUK more control in the matter.
We changed the language to "respect everyone's sovereignty" (as Chew put it). After some last minute errata in 2A to clarify the language on battles, the NAP was signed...

With eIrish territory becoming part of eUSA during the rental, the security interests of eIreland became more directly the security interests of eUSA. The PL-US deal would not apply, if they retaliated to an eUK invasion of eIreland...

If you're referring to the NAP that forbade the eUS from attacking all of TWO, that was signed pre-determination, so it was negotiated with respect to outdated game mechanic concerns. When that treaty expired, the new NAP(link above) was signed by the new US CP. It clearly does not include "all TWO" language. Even if it was still in the terms, the eUS could simply attack through an eIrish MPP, and conquer vicariously. There was still an implied sentiment of amity, which is why the eUS brought a NAP to the table to comfort the eUK. There has been growing goodwill between eUK and eIre, so we were happy to oblige the eUS, and extend an olive branch of our own.
It's a good deal all around, and everyone's sovereignty is respected.
USA was never gonna attack UK anyway, they making moves for a pro-SPoland stance... not like they gonna go pro-Serb is it?
How is it a good deal all round if USA will give us a separate nap
If he wanted a nap with ireland then fair enough let congress vote on that
congress should have been allowed the option not bundled into the nap from fear of USA
he either helped ireland on this one OR got played by you guys (well done if that's the case)
i told him the situation when he got elected
also are you saying he changed 1 thing the language of 1 term it's hardly 'I demanded several alterations'
I'm still not seeing a downside for the eUK, MWC.
... Unless your intention all along was to start a war with he eUS that is prevented by the NAP.
You are right that eIre, and eUSA have no intention of invading the eUK. If the eUK was planning on attacking either country, it would result in conflict with eUS. This NAP prevents more aggressive future administrations (on either eUK or eUS side) from that pitfall. This NAP does nothing, but ease tensions as all 3 countries develop into the future.
The only "bad" from this NAP is if the eUK wanted to add another front to it's multiple wars against France and Asgard. With this NAP, you do not have to look over your shoulder for damage drain battles from another border.
It is good all around. You are naive if you don't realize that.
you don't see a problem with a CP lying to congress?
As CP of Ireland of course you like the nap
but the way in which it was achieved is important
You say he lied about needing the NAP to assure the eUS would not attack in future administrations. But to call that a lie, you referenced the expired US-TWO treaty. The new US-Spoland treaty did not technically protect the eUK. So his concern about the danger of the interests of future eUS administrations potentially growing in Europe was not a lie. There is clearly an air of goodwill these days, and Chew took advantage of that.
I don't know the inner working of your congress, or what exactly he said. But you said...
"he lied saying the original deal was bad for us"
I know that he did not lie about that. He did get 'better' terms for the eUK than the first draft of the NAP.
I just know that those two "lies" were not actually lies. He was telling the truth. If he said something else that you believe to be untrue, I am not aware of it. I am not privy to the inner dialogue of your parliament. Maybe you are referring to some other lie that I missed when reading the article.
Well... I just read his latest article, and it appears he pulled the wool over eUKs eyes after all. But it was nothing to do with the NAP. The NAP was initiated by the eUS with the the best of intentions, and I stand by them in their attempts to reach out to the eUK.
It seems there are bigger fish to fry now. You have much more substantial reasons to attack Chewie now. I wish you happy hunting.
...... indeed
Well I for one think I ChewChewWho has done a superb job as CP and I would like to offer my congratulations for his successful term as CP of eEire.......
please everyone note he said this before the money theft thing ^
For the record, I said he was a snake, cheat, liar and PTO'er before he was elected. I also said that the only reason he was running under the UKRP banner was that he was un-electable if he had stayed with his original party.
I have to agree the lack of communication from Chewie has been incredibly disappointing.
I didn't even know Lord Farhan had been promoted to vCP until I spoke to him on irc the other day.
One article by the CP is shocking...especially considering the promises in his manifesto.
Did you not read, he is dead
