As any good country should have, eNetherlands has a core state army. An organized Military Unit (MU) operating directly under the command of the Ministry of Defense (MoD). In this article I am going to view my vision on the Dutch Armed Forces (DAF).
Choose or be chosen
Once you're in the game, checked all the buttons, added some friends, maybe you joined a political party nevertheless it is time for you to join the armed forces in your eCountry. There are 2 different types of Military Units: Private MU and Core State MU. A private MU is a unit with eCitizens operating as mercenaries. Most Private MU's recruit players in higher divisions or with considerable fighting skills. Most eCountries have a Core State MU (CSMU). A CSMU is open to join for every eCitizen of that country. As a new player with no experience at all your best choice would be to apply for a CSMU. You'll find a mix of experienced players aswell as players who, like you (and me), just started to play the game. It would be your best chance of learning how to fight and gather some weapons a long the way.
The Dutch Armed Forces
In eNetherlands we have the Dutch Armed Forces (DAF) as the Core State Military Unit for our eCountry. Commander of DAF is Walhallah. A very experienced Commander of the CSMU and ambassador of eNetherlands. 2nd Commanders of DAF are both two highly decorated veterans; Weekstrom and El Gorro.
The Dutch Armed Forces currently have 158 members and hold 6 Regiments each one lead by a Captain.
Regiment 1: Captain Alexander Meulman
Regiment 2: Captain Legendarisch
Regiment 3: NLRev0lution
Regiment 4: Walhallah
Regiment 5: Lord Jale
Regiment 6: El Gorro
"Every (new) citizen of eNetherlands should start out in the Core State Military Unit"
I have joined The Dutch Armed Forces right from my start in eRepublik. Serving in Regiment III under the wing of NLRev0lution.
On IRC (Rizon chat) you can join the conversation by using #nl-army
Authors Note: The game of war and politics is an aspect of the game I still need to learn and which in time I will master. Therefore you won't find a lot of strategy, politics in my articles but merely a vision of the game from my view as a newbie to another newbie so they can better understand the way of playing eRepublik. Tips/Tricks/Add-Ons in the comments by experienced players is highly appreciated.

Voted, great work as always!
Great to see you post more, only this time no vote. You are way off mark with some of the things you say and claim. Private MU's with in eNL are nothing like mercenaries, and far more like the State MU it self, also they are open to all no matter level or strength, and tend to try and advise/train there new members.
So yea you made this article to me look like nothing more as a recruitment paper for the state MU, you should have done a better job at getting knowledge about private MU's up before starting to generalize and make claims that could not be further from the truth.
I appreciate the feedback! Thanks very much
I'm not saying private MU's are mercenaries but just to point out that most private MU's are not open to just anyone and that they are very much different from the state MU. And yeah it is kind of like a recruitment for the state MU but more to new players that it is in their best interest to stay interested in the game and t learn the ropes of the game.
Join my private MU and you will get nothing but inactive leadership!
sounds legit
