[POTUS] To Be Perfect Is To Change Often

Day 2,985, 23:52 Published in USA USA by Azazel Romanov

It has been quite some time since I have written my last update, so I thought this would be a good time. This might be long or short, depending upon how I feel, so let’s just see where this takes us.

First on the agenda, we are back at war with Indonesia. This is bound to be much shorter since they seem content to move to India for refuge. However, we have also noticed that several of their allies’ airstrikes have become filled since we last spoke, so the threat is real that they would launch attacks against us. I hope every American is geared up, because it’s bound to be a fun ride. We’ll be here to direct your attention to the proper battles once things commence.

Secondly, the WHPR media-a-thon is ongoing and soon to conclude I think. I hope that even a few of you wrote for it, because I’d love to see more work from the public in terms of media. I just read this article, and it was an interesting subject. I hope to see more exploring this idea, if only to encourage public discourse. So to everyone, keep writing!

Thirdly, DoCA is continuing its progress and restructuring. I’m so glad to see these changes started, and I hope they continue. This includes a replacement program for Bewbs for Newbs, as well as a restart to a program encouraging recruitment and retention for our country. DoCA was created to embody the spirit of both Interior and Education, and I am glad to see them springing to action and moving forward. Look forward to more updates on this progress in the WHPR or DoCA media. I know it’s not terribly exciting stuff, but it is truly meaningful and beneficial to the future of our nation.

And lastly, I thought it proper to bring this up earlier rather than later. This ends the official portion of this article. I will not be running for reelection for President. As much as I love doing the job and interacting with people, this simply isn’t a task meant for the older generation anymore. We’ve even had a cabinet discussion that focused entirely on the old vs. the new, and to be fair, it did strike a chord with me. Much like Israel Stevens who wrote before me, this was never really something that I wanted to do.

My only goal as president was to quiet everyone down a bit from last month, and then to focus on what lies ahead of us rather than behind us. My generation is no longer worthy to claim the mantle of responsibility beyond this point. We all live off previous accomplishments and seek to keep in line what we think is out of place. We cling to this place like guns and religion. While we like to see our influence as having some positive benefit, our actions and our behavior do not always have their intended benefits. We may argue that we do it out of boredom or its simplicity, but I know I do it because I’m addicted to it. Some of us like the control. Some of us like the attention. Others, like me, have a bit of a savior complex. It may even be a combination of these factors. To be fair, common traits in most presidential candidates, but I’d like to see the next round of individuals come into play. I want to see a new resurgence in the interest of leading this nation.

This is my call to action. Fighters, Leaders, Writers, Organizers. Maybe even a few Outsiders. These are who I want to see running for President. In fact, I challenge them to do so soon, if not this month.

I may not agree with them all, but I do think that there exists a potential in each of them, whether they accept it or not. I will continue to serve faithfully until the end of my term, but this is the end of the line. Our time is done. My time is done. Now it’s your turn.
