I'm running for presidency!

Some of you must have noticed that Prosperity & Progress is nominating me for Country Presidency of eIsrael. Now it's time to come out with my presidential program.


For a Prospering eIsrael

My program is derived from our party maniphesto.
We are building an eIsrael which is strong and prospering.
By strong I mean we have a community of players who are cooperating in peace and in war as well. A strong community means trust between players and this trust and cooperation can get us through anything. Reinforcing the community of Israel is important and I will work for it.
By prospering I mean we need to revive our economy. Currently it's okay, but we must not lay back and accept okay, we need to reinforce our economy as well.
Community and the economy are interdependent. A prospering economy is supporting a strong community and vice versa.

My cabinet will try to take care of the not-so-active players.
I will try to reach the 2-clickers with short messages, through shouts and try to convince them to answer 1-2 questions about what do they want etc.

Transparency
This is a core element in my program. I plan to lead a very transparent cabinet. A cabinet that is working with the people, so the citizens of eIsrael won't feel.

Glorious Defence
War is the core idea of the game. Our geopolitical situation and opportunities are limited and we are a rather small nation, so our war module is about defence.
We are not going to be agressive, we are defending our land and this a sublime task! Defending our nation helps bring together the nations.

1. Training Wars
As president I will work to bring you controlled training wars to keep ourselves trained and progress toward higher levels.

2. Mutuality as guarantee
We are going to be a reliable friend to our allies. This is the cornerstone of our defence. We help when needed so they help us when we need them.

3. Emergency Preparedness
I'm going to take measures to have stocks and plans in case of emergencies like airstrikes from strong countries. (This means we are going to preplan the process of how to get people fight and how to give the proper weapons.)

4. eIAF strike
As a long term project in my term we are going to formulate a plan for a possible Israeli airstrike to spice up the game. Of course we may decide to scrap this idea. It will be decided when we considered every aspect.

In order to create a prospering eIsrael I will execute the following program:
Reviving our Economy
We need a complex and active economic program. Simple actions won't change the thing.
The goal is employ more citizens and support the Isreali industry and producers to create a better market and a functioning economy that support the workers and producers.
We want to encourage local entrepreneurs to start producing. We need to create favourable conditions for the local industry to get on its feet and grow!

1. We are going to revise the tax system!
We need to force out most of the foreign importers who are making big profits at our market. Profit is not bad if it is kept in the country. We need to keep the profits in the country to facilitate investments and the creation of jobs. At the current tax levels, our companies are horribly uncompetitive in comparison to the foreign importers.

2. Sustainable but proper wages
We are going to affect the wages in order to maintain proper wages that are helping out citizens to prosper. We may take reactive measures in order to keep the wages at the proper level. This means if necessary we are going to support companies like in the Kosher Stores Program.

3. Facilitated raw material import
As a reactive meausure, if necessary we are going to buy large quantities of raw materials from where it is cheap and sell it on our market. This can be done with minimizing losses. For example we buy 20,000 units of WRM for 0,02 NIS (when it's much more expensive in Israel) and we are going to sell it for 0,02 NIS in Israel. The VAT will stay and restored to the budget. This government import will try to make sure to keep low the costs of producers.

4. The Kosher Stores Program fits in very well, so we are going to keep it and fund it.

5. Analysis & planning
By analying our market and the National Census we are going to monitor the effects of our actions. This is the active economic policy that reacts when necessary.

eIsrael and the World
We are going to try to keep an active foreign policy by searching for new friends and keep and eye on our potential and real enemies.

1. NEBULA
Hardworking cabinets and ministers brought together the NEBULA. Thank you very much for the work. We are of course going to keep the achievements.

2. Old allies
We are going to work on keeping our traditional MPPs re-signed. If new MPPs don't risk the good ol' alliance network than may proceed with them as well otherwise don't expect a shift in foreign policy.

3. Ambassador-program
We don't have enough players to fill in every country position, so we are going to group countries and have "Embassies" for them.

4. Intelligence
Previous events showed that we need to information beforehand to be able to get prepared. If you don't mind I'm not going to go into details.

Education and Community Management
By creating a prospering economy and mainting the Glorious Defence we ensure that our community can thrive.

1. Baby boom
It wouldn't be responsible if I promised a baby boom but we can try and work for it.

2. Keep Educating the youth through articles and the Tironut.
When needed we are going to spend money to give weapons and/or food the young.

3. Hebrew-English Translators
We will formulate a list of people who are willing to provide help when Hebrew to or from English translations are needed. They do a very valuable job. We should thank them.

4. Mentoring
There will be list of volunteer mentors of the Ministry of Education who can team up with newcomers and aid them in the game.

5. Losses
There are players who stop playing and leave erepublik. We cannot keep them playing, but we can ensure that "lost" citizens won't keep goods, money and golds for eternity. We are going to suggest new players to provide passwords to trustees before they leave the game.

Some of these are not radical, but I don't plan to be radical. I plan to move on the path that former governments set up.
However I won't hesitate to progress with reforms if it means we can get closer to our goals.

Cabinet positions
I'm open to nominations for positions.
It's not a matter of partisanship, everybody will be welcome in the cabinet who is willing to cooperate and work toward our goals.

eKnesset and parties
My government won't be a party cabinet, I work with those who are willing to proceed with me.
I will respect the role the of the eKnesset. Naturally I will discuss big decisions and reforms with the congress and I will be open to their questions and proposals.
