Fellow citizens!

I'd like to thank you all for having confidence in me to serve as your President during the month of June. Of course, I gladly thank those who have voted for me and support me the last few days, but in the end of it all I intend to represent the entirety of the eNetherlands, not just the slight majority that ended up voting for me.

I'd like to thank my colleague presidential candidate Jordic for the fight he put up. The eNetherlands haven't seen such closes races in a long while and exciting it was! All during the day we were basically tied, only in the late evening a gap appeared. Let this be exemplar for the coming months: Two or more respected and capable candidates running for this very honorable office in a fair and exciting campaign.

Besides this being a personal victory, it also is a victory for our entire very democracy. We've missed these months with such ferocious campaigns, media activity and debates. And it surely resulted in a heightened level of participation and interest within our general population, evident when we're looking at the high turn-up members and overal (political) activity.
