[NL] The Impact of the Aircraft Industry and Recent Updates

Day 3,163, 06:05 Published in Netherlands Poland by Shawtyl0w

Dear citizens of the Netherlands,

I've started a debate on our national forum regarding the new military industry 'aircrafts'. This military module provides a fresh start for all players. We'll explore the changes on the battlefield and the economic impact of the new addition to the war module.

Military campaigns

Next week the campaigns as we know them will be no more. After three rounds or normal warfare with the four divisions as we know them an Aerial Battle will start. More about the aerial battles can be read here(I advise you to click on this link for details). This battle round allows all fighters to fight in one massive division. In other words, there are no divisions in aerial battles! Don't worry because there are no divisions it doesn't mean that D4 players with high strength have all the advantage in the world. In aerial battles the strength of a player does not affect his max hit. In order for new players to compete with the old dinosaurs of the game a new type of skill will determine the hit of a player. We will all start with a skill level 0. You will have to train and fight to get stronger.

Following the resource wars event a new tank skin was introduced to eRepublik. The Manticore is a skin that allows a player who owns one to switch between divisions at a price. The player has to do a certain amount of damage in his own division and pay a currency fee to change divisions.

Now why do I mention this tank skin? It is to point out that the time for strength training of new citizens might not be priority number one anymore. In the past we've always supported new players to upgrade their training grounds and increase their strength as fast as possible while keeping their experience low. Other than the manticore tank skin that allows a players to change divisions for a fee a new Pack has hit the market. Players who invest money in the game or very wealthy players who have other players buy packs for them can now obtain the Maverick Pack.

Because of these recent developments it might be better for our 'young citizens' who have low strength to focus on the aerial skill in order to become a top aerial fighter.

I know, I know how can I say this while the costs of training and fighting in Aerial battles will be very high as we are looking at something entirely new economy in which very little has been invested yet. Demand and Supply is no where near a break-even-point and producers of the new Q1 aircraft missiles can set their prices above the realistic market value. Well that's why I'm writing this article I want our government to help players start producing these weapons and supply the community essentially providing them the opportunity to become big players in the aerial warfare game.

Let's have a look at the numbers shall we?

The image below represents the cost per Q1 missile (today). If Q1 missiles have durability 1 and let's say you only do the DO in Aerial battle it will cost you 25 kills * 4 avg. FF per kill * 40cc per Q1 missile = 4000cc We can't ask our young citizens to pay for these Q1 weapons.. I do believe once the market has grown Q1 prices will drop slightly and cost per Q1 missile will drop to about 20cc. This means it will still cost you 2000cc. Only once Q2-Q7 weapons are introduced the prices will drop and it will become affordable for all. Because of these high prices I believe we should distribute these weapons for free! Our government should create a budged helping producers to pay the salary of workers. Questions is how much cc can each government spend on such a project?

As you can see the price is rather high imagine buying 40 of these each aerial battle round! This is why the entire eWorld needs to increase production of these missiles. Funny thing is when I took this print screen there were NO missiles on the market in the entire eWorld. Every missile is being bought by players who seek to dominate the first few Aerial battles. They do so for good reason! a 'Sky Hero Medal' (battle hero medal in an aerial battle) will earn you 30gold!!! ps. the lowest selling price of the Q1 missiles was recorded two days ago at 15cc per missile.

Now let's have a look at the raw material needed to manufacture these Q1 missiles.

As you can see the price of Aircraft Raw Material (ARM) is also pretty steep at 0,34cc each.

From a financial perspective producing these Q1 missiles yourself sill is expensive. With wages currently exploding to about 150cc net income each time you work. If you work twice a day like most people that would earn you or cost you 300cc!

Because just like the housing industry working in a Q1 missile company or ARM company requires hired workers. You can't work in them as managers which means producing is going to cost you either a big time salary or spoils of production. Considering that one work ticket and a Q1 missile company outside of a bonus region will earn you only 5 Q1 missiles you would have to either more to a bonus region or accept the fact that 5 Q1 missiles are going to cost you 300cc of salary. Is that worth your money?
When moving to a bonus region like Balochistan you will enjoy a 90% + 18% bonus production but because so little Regions hold Aircraft bonuses they are all heavily polluted. You can subtract 25% from the 108% which will result in a production of 183%(100+90+18-25) or 9,15 Q1 weapons.

This is why I would like to see two clickers who don't need the extra money as they are not actively spending any as well to work for people with these companies earning just enough to pay for their Q1 houses.

So young players what should they do now?
They should work for a high salary. I'd like to thank djirtsdew who made the following calculation. Please note these numbers are rounded up, prices might vary a little but the results are clear.

30 days of work earns:
no house: 150*30=4500 CC. @400CC/gold, that's 11.25 gold.
Q1: 150*60-600=8400 CC. @400CC/gold, that's 21 gold.
Q1&Q2: 150*90-600-1200=11700 CC. @400CC/gold, that's 29.25 gold.
Q1-Q3: 150*120-600-1200-2250=13950 CC. => 34.87 gold.
Q1-Q4: 150*150-600-1200-2250-4300=14150 CC. => 35.37 gold.

Please note that buying this Q4 house is not advised if you are only using it to work. Also note that your 'boss' must be aware of the fact that you wish to work 3-4 times a day as he needs to have enough money available to pay for your salary.
