[MoD] RW East NL, The Aftermath!

Day 2,610, 11:50 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Ministerie van Defensie

Soldiers of the eNetherlands, at ease!

In the morning of day 2607 the Dutch Armed Forces started the Resistance War to liberate Eastern Netherlands of the Hungarian occupation. The first amazing thing about the started RW where the supporters. As show in the picture below the funds where 100% gathered by the soldiers of the Dutch Armed Forces!

After the start, the hard part of the RW begun. We had to win the first few rounds to make it clear that Hungary was returning the region. But there starts the trouble. The Hungarian Minister of Defence didn’t know anything about a treaty. That wasn’t his fault, but it became my problem. Half way round 2 he understood our problem and gave orders to fight on our side to help us, and for his own soldiers to get the freedom fighter medal. It took another round before all soldiers had read the news and orders so from round 3/4 it goes better and better. Also more soldiers of DAF showed up and we had some easy rounds. I have to admit that only a few people made the difference in the first rounds. That could be way better, but I understand that we all have a real live and that you can’t be online 24 hours a day.

In the end we won back the region with 89 against 10. Not bad, but it always can be better. Good communication is the key, I think from our side it wasn’t a big problem. But as you could see, when the Hungarians have different orders, and don’t know about a treaty, it would be very, very hard to win the battle.

This battle we had a different reward system, and I think it was nice. If you have remarks on it, pls send me a message or reply under this article. I have hand out several weapons to 2nd and 3th placed hero’s! Good fighting soldiers! I totally handed out 483 Q7 weapons! Make good use of it soldiers!!!

May I thank you all for this very good battle, it is an honour to fight with you!

Minister of Defence

Personal message of our DAF Commander Weekstrom,

Looking back at our RW, satisfaction about DAF prevails. After we had a good conversation on how and when to start the RW with our MoD and the nice twist of rewards MoD and MoF came up with, the RW started with the nice sight of 10 DAF soldiers showing our flag on the RW support.
The twist in rewards that was introduced needs some fine tuning it seems, yet is a promising approach I think.

Soon after the RW started it became clear the agreement gov signed wasn’t clearly communicated within Hungarian borders and several Hungarian soldiers started to fight back. Both our MoD as well as myself contacted their MoD to clear up the matter. And to show we were serious I decided to step up the game in D4 to show we meant business and securing a 6-5 victory in the first round dropping almost 250 mil.

The second round result was frustrating to me as we won D1-3 but lost D4 with 49% while there was hardly put up a fight with the top 5 only hitting about 115mil at our side. I had noticed Fhaemita had started to hit that round and taken BH position and was convinced he would secure the battle and therefore attended RL a while, but surprisingly he didn’t finish it by putting in a bit extra. Details show BH level didn’t change the last part of the 2nd battle so apparently he was absent the second part of the battle and unable to hit extra.

From round 3 on however all went well and the FF medal shouting our MoD started combined with the lead we had convinced a lot of players to indeed go for their FF hits. To clarify; As it is very important nowadays in a RW to make clear ASAP what the outcome will be I kept attending round one and stepped up the game in round 1 to get us in the lead and expected Fhaemita to do the same in round 2 as he is one of the players I expect to understand these kind of tactics and blindly expected him to secure that. And although after round 2 we lead by 12-10, 17-5 would have been a way clearer statement.

Also from round 3 on we had players standing by in our DAF chat making sure we were in control of matters and a lot of players gained a few BH medals. Also I’m glad with the fact Fhaemita showed up the entire campaign so my initial frustration and anger towards him mainly initiated by his absence when the Hun started their attack was taken away as he, this time, showed he does fight for eNL when needed. Sadly that can’t be said from our CP who didn’t show himself on the battlefield and disappointed me again. In my book actions speak louder than words, but that continues to be the other way round with him it seems.

Weekstrom,
Commander of the Dutch Armed Forces
