[KHMC] My goodbye as the guard changes
Nathan Aus
G'day KHMC and g'day Australia
This is my final post as the President of the KnightHawks Military Council. On the 15th the KH will go, as all parties across the eRep planet go, to elect the new Presidents of their political parties.
I'm leaving this term on a far different note to what I entered. I came on board following the loss of a beloved leader, one who was well supported both in and out of the KH family. Bree remains close in our minds and hearts.
To be honest with you all, I leave the post fully well knowing that I'm not the most popular bloke at the KH watering hole at the moment. We had a stagnant Congress election with miscalculations on regions to be contested, a rebuild following the loss of Bree and if that wasn't enough, a fracked Australian presidential nomination.
I tried my best, with the limited time I had left, to turn it around and try and find other ways to build the party's brownie points. All I can offer at the end of the day is a friendly relationship with the Revolutionary Party and two posts in the Australian Government. Not blowing my own horn at all, but those are two things KHMC didn't have when I came into the job.
The thing is, those are your victories, not mine. The President of the KHMC is just a custodian of a bigger picture. Another confession as the term comes to an end, I never fully understood the KH dynamic. I'm not going to have a leak on the doorstep as I depart, that's just un-Aussie, but there are issues there connecting the KHMC and the KH MU on the same page. I don't get it, so I'm not going to try to dissect it. It is relevant as far as uniting the front goes.
Now to my last point and I ask for forgiveness in advance because there's no way of addressing the truth without a few offences being taken. People should know that's not my go, but I can't help how other people might take it.
Limiting my remarks to the KHMC and not the MU, there's a few factional plays at work. One of those fires got put out in the interests of uniting to help Molly win and to be part of the team going forward. I thank Sally and Linc for their help to do that. Louise was also a big help and I understand the reasons why she resigned. In the end she came through for us as she always did, but I didn't disrespect her for her reasons either way. I admire people's convictions even if they don't work well for me.
There is a bit of infighting going on. Some might whinge about this, but I say let it happen. It's good to have a bit of civil war. If it's good for the country, it's good on local level for members of a political party to have a scrap. Do it as often as needed.
When it's over for that time, you have to bury it though and work on the common goal as it pops up. Could be anything. Captain elections, Congress, CP or a war campaign. Excuse my raw language, but the bottom line is shit has to quit to try for a win.
Looking out I say the KHMC is in a good place to do that if it wants to. If it doesn't, that's fine too. It will create a problem for membership viability and activity though if it doesn't stay active. Bree, Louise and Lany were a lot better at that than I was.
I promise the next President of the KHMC my respect and my silence. He or she will get no cheap shout outs from me. That's how I think it should be everywhere when the former leaves the limelight. They must allow a new chapter to begin.
I'll still be around of course serving Molly and Australia wherever I'm needed. Providing I get the support from governments now and in future I'd like to stay on. I'm really enjoying ministerial work and it's a good way to get along with everyone as the job requires.
My very best to all candidates for the job. It will be easy as hooking a snapper on stormy rocks to fill my shoes. I had a good Council and thanks to all of them. Lou, Lany, Sally, Linc, Cam and a hooroo to Henry over at the unit command.
On the 16th I go from Party President to plain member which is just swell with me. Thanks for your support to elect me and give me the privilege.
Casting off with a hearty cheers
Nathan

Nathan, I consider that you did an excellent job as PP for the KnightHawks.
You achieved a lot with so much stacked against you.
I understand exactly how you feel. I left the Knighthawks, but that is no reflection on anything you have done.
I applaud all your actions - I just feel I need a break from what is a pathetic situation in Australia at present.
It started with the despicable actions taken to hound Bree out of politics, and it continues (Molly Jo, motherhood statements & pretty pictures do not a good CP make & if your candidacy has any chance whatever, it will depend on the standard of the people in cabinet. You cannot keep up the public persona of sweetness & light & being a bitch in private)
Nathan, hang in there - if Australia has any hope it will be due to people like yourself.
Take my name out of your mouth, I didn't do anything remotely harsh to Bree. And frankly you have no right to talk, you've said and done far worse things to people, with far less of a case for it. Hell bree herself has hounded people with no cause. And the fact you want to talk supporting the Knighthawks when you bailed the moment the party did something you didn't like, is just the biggest red flag of your nature.
I liked you better in Nov of 2011, but now it seems you are just another bi-polar Aussie, who can't stop complaining and can't stop spreading negativity because they don't like someone.
FYI if you don't know what I'm talking about or who I am: http://i.imgur.com/Jnpw5I7.png
Which brings me back to the main point, you were nice once, now you're an angry bitter thing.
Seriously is that the best you eAussies can do, you don't like how someone is, so you imply they are fake...
So you want to keep talking crap about a friend of mine, well keep this mind little Lousie I can be just as big an a-hole as the some of Australias bitchiest. And Unlike you I've got nothing left to lose in this game.
Damn, drama brewing without me..........
Thanks for the kind thoughts and for your work, Louise. I'll leave the other issues between the relevant people if that's alright. Cheers mate and good luck.
hi
Some advice from a one time two week eAustralian for you Nathan, do what you want, and have fun, otherwise the game will eat you alive.
I take everyone at simple value mate. I don't care where the go take a leak, as long as it isn't on me carpet or on me shoes LOL

Proud to say reported for insult/flaming/abuse
Short term memory when the shoe is on the other foot and a previous CP was hounded by...............Pretty sure I need not say anymore
" I came on board following the loss of a beloved leader,"
I had no idea Kim Jong-un was the leader of KH, i guess he left cuz he had a real country to attend too.
I correct myself, had a real country to destroy*
Mate I got no idea what drugs you're on but if you'd be happy to share I doubt we'd refuse. The ladies might not be keen on the roofies though.
Maybe my joke was too much for you to comprehend.....
The North Korean leader is known as the "beloved leader", so by you referring to him as the "beloved leader" i was joking that he must of been Kim Jong-un who must have left due to him taking power in North Korea.
I know most Aussies have about 4 1/2 brain cells in their heads but cmon..... Louise does not shock me 1 bit.
Well blow me over. Didn't know that, mind you I don't follow a lot of North Korean politics. They don't show a lot of their parliament's sittings on TV or on the Internet. Come to think of it, it's unclear to me if they have a parliament or the Internet. It makes sense now anyways. A thousand apologies mate.
No worries, i just figured everyone knew that.... lol....
