Dear eGermans,

an interesting month has come to an end. But I am sure the next one will be even more interesting. That’s why I am running for president.


What we have

Plato’s newest idea was a severe blow for politics in eRepublik. Some countries managed to install a dictatorship to prevent a foreign coup, others are completely ruined (like eSwitzerland). In eGermany we found a good solution of representative dictatorship, now we will see how the situation will work out, and if needed make adjustments to our laws.
Our agreements with eHungary and ePoland give us a situation of stability and peace, we do not have any aggressive neighbours at the moment. And I do not think there is urgent need for WAR for us. This way we can support our allies with all we have.


With great power comes great responsibility

I am well aware that many of you do not like the idea of a dictatorship. To be honest, I do not like it either. But with the current game mechanics I do not see another choice for a country like eGermany.
I assure you that I will completely follow the dictatorship law (and every change/amendment made by congress). There will not be any difference to a month as CP (without dictatorship).


What’s next

Basically I will continue the politics oft the last months.
I do not see any opportunities for alliance memberships, also I think the importance of alliances has decreased. In the past they were real brotherhoods, now most are nothing more than an alliance of convenience and do not last much longer than a few weeks or months.
Also we have to watch out how the new dictator-rules countries will influence global politics. Because of this we need to keep an eye on every country ruled by a dictator, to be prepared if there is any danger for us.
My MoC will also continue the very successfull StarD-raffle, and I’m open for every great new idea to keep our community active and happy.


Summary/tl;dr

In times like this reliability and experience is critical. In my opinion I have proven both at many times, and I do not plan to disappoint you this time.
Because of this I kindly as for your vote at the next election.

Verehrte eDeutsche,

ein interessanter Monat hat ein Ende gefunden. Aber ein noch viel interessanterer steht uns bevor. Deswegen trete ich für die Präsidentschaftswahlen im März an.


Was wir haben

Platos neueste Idee war ein harter Schlag für die Politik in eRepublik. Manche Länder schafften es, einen eigenen Diktator einzusetzen, um eine Fremdherrschaft zu verhindern. Andere wurden völlig zerstört (wie z.B. die eSchweiz). In eDeutschland haben wir, denke ich, einen guten Kompromiss gefunden, um uns gegen feindliche Coups zu schützen. Diesen Monat wird sich zeigen, ob das Gesetz hierzu ausreichend ist oder noch Änderungen benötigt.
Außenpolitisch bringen uns unsere Verträge mit ePolen und eUngarn Stabilität und Frieden, auch haben wir keine aggressiven Nachbarn. Und ich bin auch nicht der Meinung, dass wir zur Zeit einen Krieg um des Krieges willen benötigen. So können wir auch jederzeit mit vollem Einsatz für unsere Verbündeten da sein.


Mit großer Macht kommt große Verantwortung

Mir ist bewusst, dass viele von Euch das Modell der Diktatur nicht unbedingt mögen. Um ehrlich zu sein mag ich es auch nicht besonders. Allerdings ist es bei der aktuellen Spielmechanik wohl immer noch das geringste Übel für ein Land wie eDeutschland.
Ich versichere Euch, dass es keinen Unterschied zwischen eine Regierung als Präsident und einer als Diktator geben wird. Ich werde mich zu 100% an das beschlossene Diktatur-Gesetz (sowie sämtliche Zusätze/Änderungen durch den Kongress) halten, darauf gebe ich Euch mein Wort.


Was kommt als nächstes?

Im Grunde werde ich die Politik der letzten Monate weiterführen.
Großartige Optionen für Allianzen sehe ich nicht, auch weil die Bedeutung von Allianzen generell nachgelassen hat. Waren sie früher sehr enge, freundschaftliche Zusammenschlüsse, sind es heute fast nur noch Zweckbündnisse, die oft wenige Wochen/Monate nicht überstehen.
Auch muss sich zeigen, wie sich die neuen Diktaturen (ob eigen- oder fremdbestimmt) auf die Weltpolitik auswirken. Daher ist es wichtig, die Augen offen zu halten, um auf Änderungen, die uns gefährden könnte, rechtzeitig zu reagieren.
In der Community-Arbeit werde ich auf jeden Fall die sehr erfolgreichen StarD-Verlosungen fortführen, bin aber auch jederzeit für neue Ideen in diesem Bereich offen.


Zusammenfassung/tl;dr

In Zeiten wie diesen ist Zuverlässigkeit und Erfahrung im Amt des Präsidenten (Diktators) von entscheidender Wichtigkeit. Ich denke, dass ich beides schon bewiesen habe. Und ich habe nicht vor, Euch dieses Mal zu enttäuschen.
Daher bitte ich um Eure Stimme bei der nächsten Wahl.
