[eBe-CP & MoFA] Double Airstrike on eBelgium: The aftermath

Day 2,744, 16:13 Published in Belgium Belgium by eBelgian Presidency
This is a joint article by both the CP the MoFA, I (e Vladimir) will explain a few things from my perspective and then I'll let you read a day-by-day development of events during the double Airstrikes written by the MoFA (Franckie1😎. I warn you, this is a very long article. For the screenshots provided click right mouse button and open the image in a new tab so that you can have a better view.
Pleasant reading.
Dear allies, dear friends, dear Belgians,

It has been a glorious day yesterday, having liberated ourselves from a kind of aggression this country has seen so many times in the past - and especially the past year or so, in which period we've witnessed numerous countries Air-striking the very powerful and strong Belgium! Yes, in average we've had an Airstrike almost every second month in the past year and we fought valiantly with the help of our friends and allies each and every time. But as many have came here and left, I knew that we had the capacity to outwit our opponents and that we would get through this one as well, as we always have.
I have read articles, comments and personal messages that we played dirty and that we made a fraud by not respecting the so called "agreement" we had with our occupators. The MoFA was involved in some discussions and negotiations, but me as CP was never involved in the final negotiations and I have not signed anything. The deal was non-existent in my eyes.
I think many people in Belgium knew that the Govt. wouldn't agree on ANY KIND of an agreement with the aggressors. I've said that in mass pm's and in every conversation I had about the issue. My position was the same from the very start, NO DEAL with MNE and/or JPN even if it meant no Congress and a long-term wipe - AND THAT WE'D USE ALL AVAILABLE TOOLS AND METHODS TO DEFEND OURSELVES. We did exactly that. Let them make out of it what they want, we were just defending ourselves and there is nothing more honorable and righteous than trying to do the best you can defending the people and the interests of the country, no matter the means and the cost.
If they came to us proposing a kind of a Training war, a renting proposal or anything else where we would have been equal partners in a joint operation, we would've probably given it serious thought (like the AS of Cuba and the renting agreement we had with them so that Cuba could have Congress). But this way, with the sort of means they used to "make us" agree on something from a position of strength really made us angry and made us do what we did.
It's all part of the dance and the game, losers have the right to be angry and winners have the right to rub it in their face.
The only thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth in this whole ordeal is the Cuban involvement and their attempts to sort things out between us and MNE/JPN. They have great relations with all the parties that were involved and they took a kind of a mediator role in the conflict. They did invest a lot of time and efforts trying to do that and we are grateful, but hell, we must first think of ourselves. I hope they understand.

Finally, I want to thank all of our friends and allies that helped Belgium and most of all I want to thank the people of eBelgium for their support and their understanding why the Govt. was silent most of the time during the wars. It was crucial that we play or cards well and that is what eventually brought us the victory.

Now, I invite you to read the MoFA report.
In this article, I (Franckie) will explain to you what all happened during these wars and also explain what this "signed agreement" (which hasn't been signed in fact) is. I'll write this article in a day-to-day form, even if you'll see that some days will have way more informations than other ones.

So let's start with it !

Wednesday Day 2737
Japan and Montenegro each vote yes to their AS law, and they signed quite a lot of MPPs the previous days. Belgium has only one MPP at that time (Macedonia), but signs 2 new MPPs, one with United Kingdom and one with Chile, even if we know that the MPPs won't be available during the AS (due to game mechanics).
On that day, I asked help to our allies, most of them answered with a yes, but a discussion was opened with Cuba. Cuba couldn't help us as I asked them since they're allied to Japan, and they didn't want to be involved on any side (which is quite nice of them). And the Cuban government even opened discussions, to try to find an agreement to help us getting congress.

Thursday Day 2738
Belgium and its allies, United Kingdom, Chile, the Netherlands and Germany focus on the Montenegrin AS, they're weaker.
Sadly it quickly appears that Serbia (and pro-Asteria) won't let lose their puppets. Plans are made in private on our side, to get one of those countries out. Both AS land before the end of the day.

Friday Day 2739
I haven't been able to be there a lot that day, due to a nice event for me IRL. UK started a NE law against Montenegro and there's not a lot more to say here about the situation on Friday.

Saturday Day 2740
Japan attacks Wallonia, our last free region. UK attacks Montenegro, in their only territory, Flanders.
Cuba, as mediator between Japan and Belgium (Montenegro is kicked out during that day), try to make us hurry about finding an agreement before Japan attacks Wallonia, to let Belgium have a congress.
This was the agreement proposed by the Cuban MoFA some days before:

On Saturday, AZTE (Cuban MoFA) came back to us, trying to help us getting congress with an agreement with this message:

I reacted with sending a message to the Japanese President, saying that I was agreeing. But quickly after that, when the war in Wallonia already started (so pact was broken already, because they were hitting and trying to win), I sent that we finally wouldn't agree on this, as discussed in the Govt PM (I didn't receive any answer from the Japanese CP then and it seems that with his answer he only got my message when campaign was already over, but pact was already broken since we wouldn't have Congress).

Let's call this the AZTE's agreement.

Sunday Day 2741
The Japanese campaign ended this day (important detail for later). Even if some might take AZTE's "agreement" from the previous day as being a true agreement, he has nothing to do with what happened in Sunday. I'm pretty sure nobody read my messages about AZTE's "agreement" yet (look at their CP answer) and still, the agreement was broken anyway since they got Wallonia.
On Sunday, BODA90, Japanese MoFA contacted me to try and find an agreement which I'm going to name BODA90 agreement (proposal).
I won't show the whole conversation, cause most of it us completely useless. But I want to show you, that I never agreed on this agreement! I will even show you what they took as a "yes" and showed in their messages, when it was not a "yes" from me.

As you can see, I asked to wait a bit, because vCP logged in, and even before, I didn't agree on the agreement, I just said that the conditions "SEEMS OK".
Even later I ask other things, to be sure to not be in a wrong situation later (thing about congress).
Ofcourse, Japan only showed you the parts they wanted to show you, and do not forget that nobody in the channel was from Cuba and that if they use my message about the AZTE agreement to say I agreed on the BODA90 agreement, they're just saying lies.
I'll put the links of all the whole conversation in comments, if anyone wants it.
After this conversation, Japan started RW in Brussels without my final answer.
After having discussed with my vCP, Belgium wouldn't have agreed the BODA90 agreement, but Japan was giving back Brussels without agreement...

Monday Day 2742
Brussels has been freed right before day change, which offered Belgium a Congress.
When RW started in Wallonia (absolutely not organised by Belgium and its allies), UK would have been busy with Venezuela soon (this started finally today, so they couldn't help us) and Germany and The Netherlands were busy fighting against each other...
After a quick conversation, we thought we could offer this RW a try. 1 PM to Trico, and the battle was nearly won!
Trico did a great job in this battle by helping a lot in D4 and putting big COs in the battles. I was personally surprised to see that much Japanese fight against their government, and that hard. We were glad you helped us, and you can be sure Belgium won't forget that!
I hope for Japan that this was the action "too much", and that things will change positively inside their country.
The RW was a great success, we managed to kick out the Japanese, and now Belgium is free!

Conclusion and thanks
As a conclusion, I would like to thank everyone who fought for Belgium, we had our allies of course, Chile, United Kingdom, The Netherlands and Germany, but we also received support from citizens from the USA, who found our cause good to fight for, a Lithuanian MU putting nice COs against the AS, guys from NEBULA countries sending us money for COs, a Japanese MU: Tsunami, which is fighting against the current government of Japan, Trico of course, and all the other soldiers helping us!

Belgium has great friends and allies, and Belgium won't forget those who helped us!

e Vladimir, CP of eBelgium
