With the elections and the biggest topic happens to be alliances I thought I would describe all the benefits and disadvantages for each of the four active alliances in the game. I will be reviewing EDEN, CoT, TWO and Asgard.

eRepublik Defence and Economy Network (EDEN)

EDEN is the oldest of the four alliances, it has been here since September 26th, 2009. I currently has 16 members, most of which are considered “traditional allies of Canada”. But right now the alliance is in a “dying” point in its history.

ADVANTAGES
-We remain allied with traditional allies.

DISADVANTAGES
-It’s a dying alliance.
-The size of the alliance will label us a low priority.
-We could be the next target in the CoT / TWO vs. EDEN wars.

Circle of Trust (CoT)

CoT was originally founded for the interests of Chile and Bulgaria. Both countries are former members of EDEN or Terra. This is the fastest growing alliance of the four and its gaining interest from such as USA and Brazil that we once viewed as great friends.

ADVANTAGES
-It’s in a growing state and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
-We can regain ties with our former bro, USA.

DISADVANTAGES
-We abandon traditional allies.
-The size of the alliance will label us a low priority.

The World is Ours (TWO)

TWO is the newest of the four options. Aligned with CoT, it is composed with long time enemies such as Serbia and the UK. This is the least likely of the options we will follow.

ADVANTAGES
-None

DISADVANTAGES
-Allying with long time enemies of Canada.
-Being labelled traitors by our traditional allies.
-Becoming enemies with traditional allies.

Asgard

Founded are to create strong ties between the Nordic countries, Asgard is currently a two member alliance holding Sweden and Finland. Somewhat aligned with EDEN, we have the possibility to hold ties with our traditional alliances.

ADVANTAGES
-Keep ties with traditional allies.
-Become a member of a small alliance and possibly be labelled as a high priority.
-Be more independent with our decisions because of its size.

DISADVANTAGES
-We could be the next target in the CoT / TWO vs. EDEN wars.
-Weaker alliance.

CLOSING STATEMENT

Based on the advantages and the disadvantages choose your stance. We don’t want to screw up and join an alliance that doesn’t support our best interests.
