[DoF] Update and Senate Votes.

Day 3,163, 21:00 Published in Australia Australia by Reserve Bank of Australia

Aircraft

Very little to say about Aircraft at this stage other than what is already in this excellent article by the eIsraeli Air Force Commander. It looks like some of our citizens are already making a brave foray into the market. I'll hopefully be able to say more on the economics in a few days once we can see something of a global baseline in pollution and market prices.

I'll be having a conversation with Prime Minister Rusty, MoD Kattrrina and ADF Commander Brooj about our Air Force capabilities going forward and how we might be able to to boost them. I'm also interested to hear the thoughts of other MU Commanders and Fledgling Pilots.

So without further ado, to the votes currently running in the Senate:

Donation to the RBA

There will be a proposal to move 100K from Treasury to the Reserve Bank.

We only have 2 planned MPP renewals remaining this term, one in 6 days and one in 20 days, so more than enough funds would remain.

Org Rents

Proposed 5K. As mentioned demand is now greater than supply, and an increase could bring in an extra 13K a month. Current rent is 3.5K, although the old price of 10 Gold would be over 4K in today's rates. I have made mention of the possible increase when sending out reminders but and have so far only received two objections, one feeling that there was a long term agreement at the 10 Gold price or equivalent. There is so far no indication however that any tenant would refuse to pay the proposed increase.

Boss Bucks

Proposed pool of 200K. I don't expect the whole pool to be used, and I expect all loans to be paid within a few months. Applications would work the same way as before, only open to eAustralian citizens, and needing approval of both the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.

In terms of what they're for, I plan to open it up to any company or holding company. The preference is for local holdings, but whether we are willing to loan for an overseas holding would very much depend on the individual application.

Region Rentals

Approved 35K for an extra 25% in Food and 10% in Housing. The deal with eIndo has passed our Senate and the eIndonesian Kamar Dagang dan Industri, and is due to be enacted very soon. 20K of this sum has been donated by Rusty D in the first month, and the deal will be subject to review after one month. As eIndonesia are well aware of the mutual benefit here, the 35K is essentially tax back rather than rental, as WAM tax from holdings now goes into the main tax pool (not the occupation pool) of the occupying country. We should be able to trace the changes to the average tax of both economies and adjust things accordingly for subsequent months.
