Greetings!

Today we’re going to talk about one of the most politically controversial topics in this recent history of erepublik. You may have heard about the eUSA Defensive Dictatorship or simply wondered why the land of the free and home of the brave has a dictatorship at all. Seems crazy, right? Before we dive into the complexity of the Defensive Dictatorship, let's first examine what Plato introduce to the community in the first place.

Plato is a clever old coot, even still. Ever wanted to overthrow the president, government and Congress? To ignore the constitution and enslave the whole nation under your fist? To decide everything by yourself? Now it’s possible! By doing a Military Coup, you could become a Dictator and write a new chapter in the history of your eCountry.

In eRepublik, Dictators emerge from Military Units. Only a proven military leader has enough power and strength to single handedly rule an entire nation. Support is needed, though, and other Military Units have a difficult decision to make: whether to support democracy and have faith in the current leadership, or to trust the Dictator to know what’s best for the country.

Their mission was to rightfully install democracy in a land that was once free to election its Congress members and Country President while managing its own political affairs like taxes, mutual protection pacts, declarations of war, natural enemy and so on.
