[DMV3] Election Analysis and an Announcement

Day 2,573, 10:26 Published in Canada Canada by DMV3

In yesterday's CP election 266 votes were cast which is 19 fewer than November's 285 total votes. The Coalition saw their vote totals in this CP election hold at 101 the exact same number of votes received by DMV3 (6😎 and Quentin Carlson (33) last month. Thr CPF/MDP coalition on the other hand saw their vote totals plummet to 122 from 173 in November. Last month Rylde (91) beat out Chance Harrison (82) with the two candidates taking in a combined 60.7% of the total votes. This month on the other hand they only managed to bring in 45.86% of the total vote.

I believe this lower turnout for the CPF/MDP is the direct result of two incompatible game philosophies attempting to merge behind a single lackluster candidate. Let's see if the CPF/MDP coalition supports a more inspiring MDP candidate next month and if they can reclaim their vote totals from previous months.

Retirement

When I approached IW and PFC about creating the Coalition my hope was that greater competition would bring us better candidates from the CPF and MDP, instead it merely encouraged them to team up and offer us the most dreadfully boring candidate for CP. The Coalition for me was one last attempt to make the political module interesting for me once again. That excitement and hope however has fade and brought me to the realization that I no longer have the desire to be involved in politics. For that reason, I am announcing my retirement from politics. I will finish my term as PP and offer Nyx Lynx my full support in her run as PP, I will finish my final term in Congress, and I will finish my work on the Coalition this month, but this will be my last work as a political figure in eCanada.

I have enjoyed working with many of you, and I have enjoyed battling with many others, but I know longer have the passion and interest for politics I once had. Hopefully I have made the game a little more fun and interesting for my friends and opponents alike. I will be sticking around and working on trying to make my baby boom project a success, trying to start another project to help the community, and I will still support Suffer and the Coalition, but after the 25th I will be doing these things merely as a Canadian citizen. I will be seeking no office, I will not be participating in any elections, and I will be accepting no cabinet posts.

It's been a pleasure serving the eCanadian people and I wish my friends and opponents good luck going forward.
